Thank you Influensters for sending me this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I tested the Diane Freeform Detangle Brush on my family's hair, and for me it's very clear: this is a wet/conditioner brush, in my opinion not a dry detangling brush (especially for thicker, mixed-texture h...air). Handling/Comfort: On dry hair, it didn't feel helpful for our hair type. The flexible "freeform" design can bend and spread a little too much, so it doesn't always grab and detangle the way a more structured brush does for me. Because the rows are so flexible, you have to be extra careful not to pull, and it can feel a little awkward on thick knots when hair is dry. But in the shower with conditioner / on soaking-wet hair, it was a completely different story it glided through much easier, felt gentler, and helped detangle without as much tugging. It also felt more comfortable on the scalp when used wet with slip (conditioner). Grip: The handle is easy to hold, even with wet hands, and I didn't feel like it was slipping out of my hand in the shower. Reach: The brush is lightweight and the handle length made it easy to reach the back sections of the hair without feeling like I had to twist my wrist too much. Quality: The brush feels very flexible by design, which is great for wet detangling, but on thick dry hair it can feel like it's bending so much that you worry about forcing it. Used the right way (wet and conditioned), it works smoothly and seems to hold up fine. It worked especially well on wavier or looser textures and did a great job smoothing and defining curls when used the right way (wet & conditioned) as you could see. It also worked better on thinner/straighter or wavy hair, even with less product. My recommendation: If you want a brush for wet detangling with conditioner, this is a nice option. If you need something that powers through thick mixed hair while dry, this probably won't be your favorite. Tips that helped: use lots of conditioner, detangle in sections, start from the ends and work up, and don't force it if you feel resistance.
