IGK Extra Love Volume & Thickening Conditioner

This is my holy grail conditioner, and the shampoo with it. I think that everyone is different and so you can't really gauge how products are off of reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with this one. I have very, very thick but fine hair, and a lot of it, with highlights. It's easy to dry my hair out, but I also get greasy quickly. I bought this with the shampoo; I use the double shampoo + condition method - where I use about a quarter sized amount to do a quick shampoo first, rinse it out, and then do a larger amount to really suds my head and clean my hair. Then I apply the conditioner on my ends and stop before I get to my scalp. It's nice and conditioning without being too thick and detangles my hair easily. Every time I use this set, my hair is light and silky. My hair is super shiny and nice, and it doesn't get greasy the next day using this. I can't recommend it enough if your hair is similar to mine.

I bought this based on Chris Wenzel's advice for fine hair, because I loved his other recommendations. My hair is low-porosity and doesn't like too much oil, so this duo is way too heavy. Within about an hour of use my hair was weighed down yet also frizzy. It has a cedar/amber scent that I like, however, it's way too strong. It overpowered my perfume and lasted for over 12 hours. The 2nd morning (24hrs after washing) my hair had really bad static cling.

Let me start off by saying i normally love IGK products. I have never had an issue with any of their stuff before. But this line of shampoo and conditioner is terrible, quite honestly the WORST ive ever used. $3 pantene works better than this garbage. I have thin/fine hair, so based on the name and description, i was expecting this to give my hair volume & body. All it did was make my hair extremely greasy and weigh it down. At first i thought maybe i was using too much product, so i tried a few times again with varying amounts but nope, same results. My hair was still greasy immediately after washing and drying. It looked like 4 day old hair thats how disgusting it left my hair. I also noticed a lot more fallout and shedding during washes, that i never had before. As soon as i stopped using it and went back to my old ouai shampoo and pureology conditioner, the fallout and shedding stopped happening. Some products are "just ok" - theyre not good enough to repurchase, but they get the job done enough to finish the whole bottle. Well this stuff actually made the health of my hair WORSE, so much to the point that i could not bear to finish it. I threw away both the shampoo and conditioner more than half-full. And this stuff isnt exactly cheap either so it was a complete waste of money. I would not recommend this product line from IGK. Garbage

This shampoo and conditioner duo left my hair hard to comb through and tangled. It felt like there was a residue left on my hair. Every time I touch my hair, it feels like there is product on the surface of my hair. It almost feels like my hair wasn't rinsed out properly even though it was. I would not recommend this product. It did the opposite of what it is intended to do and left my hair feeling heavy and flat. Save your money!

This conditioner smells great and makes my hair so soft!
