To open the product, remove the cap and insert the opposite side of the cap into the foil. Push down on the cap and twist until the foil is punctured.
Use once daily. Clean the skin gently and pat dry before applying product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer. For example, if your acne is on the face, apply the product to the entire face. Do not use more than one time a day. Applying more than directed will not provide faster or better results, but may worsen skin irritation. During the early weeks of use, your acne may appear to worsen before it improves (this is normal); continue use as directed, unless you get irritation that becomes severe. Irritation is more likely to occur in the first few weeks of use or if using more than one topical acne medication at a time but irritation usually lessens with continued use of this product. Applying more than directed will not provide faster or better results. It may take up to 3 months of once daily use to see results. For further instructions, refer to the Drug Facts on the packaging.
Precautions: Suitable for children 12 years and up. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a doctor before use.
Active: Adapalene USP 0.1% (Retinoid)* (Acne Treatment). Inactive: Carbomer Homopolymer, Edetate Disodium, Methylparaben, Poloxamer 182, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, And Sodium Hydroxide.

Its effective on my skin
Its effective on my skin, just follow the directions on applying it and use it consistently. I have been using this for more than 1 year now together with the effaclar facial wash and the toleriane moisturizer

Kind of works
I bought this product because I have acne scars that kind of just popped up one day, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where they came from, as I have clear skin. So I decided to try this brand because of how much dermatologists praise it. I did some research and I ended up with the Effac...

you will molt like a snake (in a good way)
i know it says specifically not to use it as a spot treatment and to apply a thin layer to the whole face, but my god does the skin just slough off your face. i have to just use it on the parts of my face with acne, because if i go anywhere NEAR my eyes it wrecks my whole shop. burning, flaking, redness that makes me look like i need an exorcism. once i'm done molting, though, my skin looks better than it has in years.
Essential for acne prone skin!
Ive struggled with cystic acne for years but was scared to try this because i've heard awful things about the purge period. Im SO glad i gave it a try. To avoid the purge i started really slow (every 3 nights for 2 weeks, then every 2 nights for a week, and then finally every night). I also stopped using all other actives and used the La Roche Posay Toleriane cleanser and double repair moisturizer. I also slept with a humidifer to try to keep my skin as moisturized as possible since this can definitely dry it out. It started to clear up my skin so quickly! The breakouts i did have healed much faster and my scarring faded fast. A must have for acne prone skin!!
AMAZING
I was a little skeptical about it at first. But after just five months my acne was almost all clear. It evened my skin tone, and flattened the texture of skin I had. I did break out a lot, but that was super normal for starting a product like this. My skin is now clear!
Skin got worse
Probably worked on different people but didn't work on me I've been using it for 1-2 weeks til now and I was hoping this would calm my acne but made it all worse and made my skin get more pimples than usual.
Dermatologist recommended!
My dermatologist recommended this as an alternative to Trentinoin. I feel that it works just as well and I love this brand of skin care.
