- Q
Can you wash this out in water/ is it temporary? And does chlorine do anything to this dye?
- Asked by Lily
- Official Answer By Good Dye Young - Brand EngageSemi-permanent hair dye is considered temporary as it deposits color to the outer layer of the hair, and fades out with each wash. Our dyes are formulated to be most vivid and true to the color you see on the box over hair that is pre-lightened, and will last up to 24+ washes. We recommend you avoid prolonged contact with salt such as ocean water and sea salt sprays, chlorine, and water softeners as these can prematurely fade vivid color. You can apply a color-safe leave-in conditioner before water activities to help protect your vivid color a bit more. When you get out of the ocean or pool, rinse out your hair to prevent the salt or chlorine from sitting too long on those strands. Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
Is this good for color treated hair?
- Asked by AM
- Official Answer By Good Dye Young - Brand EngageYes, you can use DYEposit on color treated hair. DYEposit is a 4-in-1 color depositing mask. It cleanses, tones, hydrates, and contains a bond builder to repair damaged hair. Whether you’re blonde, brunette, or any color of the rainbow, we have a hue for you. DYEposit is a great product to help maintain your vivid color in between dyeing, or to add a subtle accent of color. Good for color, not for conditioning
I like how much color this adds, though wouls not be great if you dont already have some highlights for it to grab on to. If not, it acts as a partial toner type color. It's advertised to use instead of a conditioner when using it and that is NOT true. It frizzes out my hair at the ends more than an...

Cannot Recommend
I bought the red and the copper (on GDY website) cause I like to mix my Keracolor to match my salon dye and I'd love to try other products. It does what it's supposed to, depositing the extra color boost to maintain my deeper copper, and I feel like it does it a little faster and more vibrant than c...

Worth it !
I have red hair and it's hard to maintain. But after using once my hair was back to a vivid red. It looks alive. It looks bright. It's everything I love ! 100% recommend.

Great color conditioner

I will buy this again. Best color conditioner I have used.
Not as Advertised. Very Dull and Smelly.
Used as directed and the dye didn't seem to take at all. Tried again on dry hair for about an hour and it acted as a patchy toner. It did not condition at all. Smells like Windex. You could get twice the product for half the price elsewhere.
