I read the directions on the bottle and nothing is said about rinsing it out. So, I have been using the Drench Conditioner as a leave in treatment every few days and it is wonderful. If one is supposed to rinse it out, why doesn't it say that on the bottle? Am I damaging my hair by leaving it in?
- Asked by Kathy
- Official Answer By SebastianIt is meant to be rinsed out. You are not damaging your hair by leaving it in, but we do not recommend doing so. I agree that the directions need to be edited and will pass that message on to the manufacturing department. Was this answer helpful to you

I am currently using the Penetrait shampoo and conditioner, but have noticed my ends are suddenly a dry tangled mess. Should I try the Drench line or do I just need a leave in or mask? My hair has been getting more and more dry the longer I use the Penetrait combo.
- Asked by Style Lover
- Official Answer By SebastianGreat question. It does sound as if you are not getting enough moisture out of the Penetrate line. You could try the mask, but that may be a temporary fix. I would recommend switching to the Drench line for more consistent results. Please call Sebastian Technical support at 800-935-5273 for additional information and product recommendations. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Does this product contain protein?? Someone asked if there is protein in Sebastian Drench Conditioner from Ulta, and the response was no. However, there is a hydrolized product on the ingredient list and most hydroliged products are proteins. I'm not a chemist, though, I reply on product experts in these frums. There's also a response to another protein question saying: "there's no deefinition of vegan products, read the ingredient list" That doesn't make sense, because there are many vegan proteins. Can someone please respond and let me know if this product contains protein? The answers are confusing. Thank you!

Is this cruelty free?
- Asked by Lena
- Official Answer By SebastianHello! Please read our animal testing policy below: Coty Inc. statement on animal testing We do not perform, nor do we ever commission any third parties on our behalf to perform, testing of our products or ingredients on animals, except where required by law. All our products are safe and have been developed, manufactured and packaged in compliance with the laws, regulations and guidelines that are applicable in each country in which they are sold. Our safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients is based on the use of recognized alternatives to animal testing, the use of existing safety data and, increasingly, the sharing of such data with other industries. It is common knowledge that China requires mandatory animal tests on all cosmetic products imported into the country. We continue to be involved in the dialogue with the Chinese authorities, including through our active membership of the China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), to replace animal tests with alternatives. As a result, China has recently started to investigate ways to replace animal testing and has sought the assistance of European scientists. We have been actively involved in the research and development of alternatives to animal testing for many years. We were a party to SEURAT-1, the single largest Private-Public Partnership initiative which aimed to develop alternatives to animal testing of cosmetic products. With a total contribution of €50 million, funded in equal by the European Commission and the cosmetics industry, it managed to produce some alternative methods to animal testing and set the ground for further development of which we are also part. The common goal of all these efforts is to completely replace animal testing through validated alternative methods which ensure our products are safe for consumer use.Was this answer helpful to you

You name it, I've used it. After going back to blonde (from black) and going through pregnancy my hair has changed drastically. I'm Conflicted Here
This conditioner is o.k. Nothing spectacular to report here. I always go back to my old standbys; Terax Crema, Nexxus Humectress, even Dove has a nice conditioner that's much more affordable. I used this in conjuction with the Sebastian Drench Shampoo...but still wasn't bowled over with the results....

Amazing stuff

For the past few months my hair inexplicably has become frizzy and tangled, especially after shampooing. So when it dries after a shower it literally looks like clown hair because it's so frizzy and matted. I realized using a conditioner after shampooing could help this, so I picked this up randomly at a salon by my house. This stuff is AMAZING. My hair goes from being a tangled matted mess to instantly being smooth, soft, untangled, and conditioned after I use this. The scent is great. Also I love its robust preservation system to keep it safe while I use it, because it will likely last me a long time. Highly highly recommend this product!! Chemistry is amazing

I always go back to this
Every 6-9 months or so i switch up the products i use. I always go back to this brand. I probably wouldnt recommend for someone who has fine and/or thin hair. It can be heavy but a little goes a long way. Ive never had to use such little conditioner before. I use this with the Sebastian Dark Lightweight Oil shampoo and its a perfect combo.
I would buy again & Again!
