Different from sample
I fell in love with the sample size of this perfume so I bought the big size and left it alone for a while until I finished the samples and when I finaly opened it, it smelled completely different. I left it to macerate and it still doenst smell the same. Honestly it was a complete waste of money imo.
Give it a few minutes to dry down
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume! it starts out sweet and fruity, and then gets warmer and softer after wearing it for a while. I was a little nervous about the melon at first, but it actually smells nice and not too sugary after a few minutes. I wish it lasted a little longer, but overall I really enjoyed it. I love the opening abd the heart of ghe fragrance, I just wanted the drydown of the vanilla to last longer. I'll pair it with my vanilla scents and see what they do to enhance the vanilla. I'll need to try other flankers from the house.
Devoted to Disappearing
Dolce & Gabbana Devotion is basically the LaCroix of the perfume world. It's like someone sprayed a lovely perfume six feet away, walked past you, and then bottled the faint trace that was left behind. The scent itself is beautiful, which honestly makes it even more disappointing. The lasting power is practically nonexistent. I spray it on and within a minute I'm wondering if I actually remembered to put perfume on. There's no gradual fade throughout the day. It just seems to disappear almost immediately. For a fragrance at this price point, I expected significantly better performance. I really do enjoy the scent, but I can't justify paying this much for a perfume that requires constant reapplication just to know I'm wearing it. Beautiful fragrance. Terrible longevity. If LaCroix made perfume, this would be it.
