I'm not usually a "rose" perfume person. After reading the description, I decided I wanted to try it. Upon receiving it, I noticed that the packaging was simple, yet elegant. The brand really focused their energy into formulating a beautiful fragrance rather than elaborate packaging which I love. The glass bottle still looks great sitting on my vanity, but you can tell this perfume was formulated with a lot of time and effort and love. This is unlike any other rose fragrance I've ever smelled. Yes, the first note you pick up is rose, but immediately after you start to get other notes as well. You can smell sweet vanilla, it has a gourmand profile. Then you get a soft powdery note as well. You can smell patchouli which mixes just right with the vanilla. The spicy from the pink peppercorn really brings all the other notes out. You end up with this powerfull feminine fragrance. I got so many compliments telling me how great I smelled, and people asking me what perfume I was wearing. I think this is going to be my new signature scent. I recently had the privilege to try out Octavia Morgan Los Angeles Dark Rose. This is a women owned and a clean fine fragrance. This scent is bold snd has a beautiful blend of pink peppercorn, black rose and vanilla. Upon opening I loved the floral woodsy sexy scent. I sprsyed on pulse points and neck. My skin added a sweet mixture of scent to this perfumd and it lasted all day. I recieved many compliments at work, and three coworkers wanted the name of the scent. It is also unisex so my husband did the same. It seems his skin mixed eith Dark Rose seemed to send off a more woodsy vibe than floral and his co workers loved it also. The minute, the scent settled on my skin. I knew I found my new signature scent. I was promised bold and bold is what I received. The patchouli and vanilla sent was perfect and I paired well with the amount of rose coming through. I expected the rose to be stronger, which would have been great but I was so satisfied with the combination of scent. I feel as the day went on the scent changed it become sweeter and even more bold if that makes sense. I am so pleased with fragrance, and I can't wait to try other Octavia Morgan scents. I like the smell of the dark rose. At first I was thinking it would have a scent that was too overpowering and strong, something that some one a bit of the older generation would like. To my surprise this perfume was the complete opposite. I can see myself wearing this on a daily basis. My only con is that I feel like it doesn't last as long as I'd like. When it is first applied it smells so good and just the right amount but I feel like I would need to add more throughout the day. The quality and presentation of the product was well pur together.
