I have long, thick, wavy hair. I wanted to like this, I really did. While yes,it did detangle, three of the top teeth snapped off. If your hair isn't too thick, I could see this being a win. I have purchased at least one of every type of curly hair brush Ulta carries, 3 different types of wet brushes, cantu, tangle teezer etc. They all were not enough to actually get through my daughters 2c-3a curly hair. Combing wet, starting at the bottome, with pattern conditioner applied is the way to use this. This comb cut our hair brushing time in half. I am hoping to teach her to use this one independently. Unlike the regular wet brush and the tangle teezer brush, this handle has a coating on it. The coating makes it 100X easier to hold with conditioner all over your hands.

Good brush for thick hair.
I guess I did not read up on this correctly, it is GIANT ! I have very thin/fine hair so this brush is way too large for me. I think it would be great for thick curly hair! But it's great for being able to gently brush and detangle my hair, when I use a hair mask or conditioner.
