I definitely wouldn't call this a gel. It has a very runny, water like consistency. This leads to product waste if you aren't careful and it's too expensive for that. This gel does a great job taming my curls, while providing moisture with out the hard feel you get from some gels. Pairing it with the curl corps defining cream is a must!! I personally prefer more gel than cream to get the hold. I also appreciate the fact that the product does not flake throughout the week! I wash my hair once a week so my products need to work together to maintain my hairs appearance.
