Let me start off by saying I appreciate a lot of IT Cosmetics products. For a long time, I was a big user of the Confidence in Your Sleep Moisturizer and once I heard they were launching a serum, I really wanted to test it out but was slightly disappointed that it wasn't like the moisturizer at all.... So far, it's been about 3 weeks of nightly use. This states that it has vitamin c, ferulic acid and polydatin and it's supposed to restore your glow, plump your skin and help reduce fine lines and wrinkles over time. I have no idea if the Vitamin C is stable or if it will or has oxidized but me personally, I do always react to vitamin C serums and not in a good way due to them never being stable or too concentrated for my skin. This neither made me react negatively and I definitely did not see any changes in my skin's complexion. The only thing I noticed was my skin seemed slightly softer but possibly due to the base of the serum. That's it. I have acne prone skin, with a lot of hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and uneven texture but none of that seemed to fade or help me with any of the areas. Just the feel of my skin the day after. Maybe I need to use it longer but I figured after 3 weeks it would help fade my acne marks but definitely no improvement there. Even with the IT Cosmetics Glow Tinted moisturizer you can still see my acne marks and my texture. Now let me also state that this serum is not like your typical water based serum. This feels like an oil and definitely has a moderate viscosity. It's not super thick and it's not watery either. Very inbetween but seemed a bit hard to spread well on your face. It feels thick on. Even if I do a small amount, it just feels so thick on my face. I didn't even want to put my Farmcy Honey Halo moisturizer on since my skin felt like it was suffocating at times but stuck through it. Also, per my experience because of the base of this serum, it didn't not play well with other water based serums for layering. I had some piling rubbing them in, patting this serum on my face seemed to be better. First week or so, I did see some tiny "white heads" here and there, like water pimples but by week 2 I didn't get more than 1 or 2 randomly, guess post adjustment to a new product. But they were small. Like, you had to look for them. If your skin is oily, you're probably going to hate this. This seems better for dry or sensitive skin that requires some extra moisture or mature skin. The smell, was weird to me. When I applied it to my skin it just doesn't have a good smell. Smells like rubber or a bit of burnt plastic? I'm not 100%, but definitely more like tire rubber smell and like car oil or something like that. Even though it is a faint smell, I'm sensitive to smells and this on my face all night? No. That was my biggest down side besides the consistency of the product. Especially for something I'm supposed to sleep in. I'm going to let my mother try the serum since I personally think this will probably benefit her more than myself. I'll make her to a review after a month to see what she thinks or what differences we see in her skin. But for me? No, definitely not something I benefited from.
