ghd Chronos Curve Max Wand

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This product creates beachy waves in long hair. I used it on my daughter's hair, as hers is longer than mine, and we were able to create some waves with it. You can see the "before" and "after" photos show a small difference in the waves, but honestly not much. The tool was cumbersome to work with, and a little scary as it felt like it might slip out of my hands and burn one of us. The barrel doesn't have a clamp, so you use a gloved hand to wind the hair around the barrel, then hold it in place yourself. If the barrel had a clamp (like a curling iron), I think this would work much better. Also, I found I could only wrap a small section of hair at a time. It was a lot of work for the results I achieved. I did feel the hair wasn't "burning" the hair as much as a curling iron or flat iron often does, but it also didn't seem to hold a curl or wave as well as other products. Overall, this wand is basically a hot rod for wrapping hair around. There are better ways to achieve better results, in my experience. However, I do appreciate the lack of damage to the hair and the soft effect of the waves.

It heats up ridiculously quickly and gets very hot without that funky burnt smell some irons have. It's a little on the heavy side but I actually like the weight of it. It took some practice because I'm not familiar with using a wand, but after a while it became really easy to use. The protective glove helped a lot during my trial and error phase. I used it on my teen first, and it worked great for their long hair down to the middle of their back. It makes nice loose, natural-looking curls that stay smooth. I even used it on my bob and it gave me some wavy texture that I love the look of. And I found that with the wand, once I got the hang of it, I was able to curl all my hair really quickly. Overall this is a great wand, and I'd recommend it to anyone who curls their hair regularly and wants natural-looking loose curls.

The Chronos Curve Max Wand gives such big bouncy beautiful curls!!! Very easy to use and it comes with a heat glove so you don't have to worry about burning your hand!!! The wand also leaves your hair smooth and shiny!!! I highly recommend this hair wand!!!
