I loved the former cleansing balm. It was a great consistency, scent, and worked great. It seems that all the products I loved from It Cosmetics have been reformulated, less effective, and even the packaging looks cheaper! I do not care for rose scented body products and this is an awful scent. ...

Burns eyes, doesn't rinse off easily (loved the old formula)
This newer formula burns my eyes and doesn't remove all mascara like the old formula. It does apply silky feeling but its harder to rinse the "film" off. The older formula didnt do that. I used to live this but Will unfortunately have to switch to the cliniqie take the day off.
I might buy again
It takes using it a few times before I got used to the thickness of it. But it did work great on getting my mascara off.
Burned my face due to fragrance
I purchased this product today at Ulta and it did melt off my makeup, but it burned my skin assuming due to the fragrance. It looks like I have sunburn on my face. Unfortunately I will be returning this product tomorrow.
Great Choice for Me
I have dry skin, and this goes on like silk, easily gliding on and no pulling or tugging! It takes off all my makeup, and isn't harsh on my sensitive skin.
Effective
This is effective at melting off makeup. it does require a little more work to rinse off than foaming cleansers, so you might use a little more water during rinsing. My skin feels very soft and smooth after using it. I don't feel that tightness that I get with most cleaners that will send me looking for my moisturizer as soon as my face dries. I really do like this a lot. I have picky sensitive skin and eyes, but absolutely no issues with this, even using to remove eye makeup. that all being said, man, it's pricy. There does seem to be a generous portion in the jar, though. It's the first balm I've tried, so I will definitely experiment with brands and compare performance with co$t.
