Great for type 4 twists
This product works really well for my type 4, frizzy, high porosity hair. I have a mix of fine and coarse strands, so I wouldn't recommend this to someone with only super fine hair, as it is, as others have noted, thick and somewhat sticky if you don't move fast enough. I've found ways around this b...

Only works for course hair
TERRIBLE. I've noticed people say that if they have course hair that it works well for them. Any other hair type this product will just sit on top of your hair. I thought maybe it was because my hair was a week post wash day that it didn't mix well but noooo. I washed my hair and the product still l...

Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I would buy this product again and agi-. My hair type is is all the 4's (a.b,c,d) and my hair gets very dry and dehydrated and I put this on my hair and will not need to reapply it for atleast a week or two!! Soo moisturizing and my hair loves it!
I will absolutely purchase this product again.
Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I was recommended this product as a moisturizer on my thick 4c hair. I absolutely love it. It moisturizes my hair and it slicks my hair in a ponytail or bun. I use it a a soft set in the same way I would use gel to slick my hair back. I also purchased the mask and I recommend both products. I'm so pleased with my purchase. I don't have to use hard gels anymore to slick my hair into a ponytail.
I would buy this again
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have wavy very frizzy, dry type 2 hair and this does wonders. A little goes a long way. I've tried different products but they all leave my hair oily and the frizz comes back quick except for this. I use this daily and it's a great addition.
LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Great for my Med to High porosity hair
Simply enough if you have coily/curly hair but are somewhere in the middle and have at least medium to high porosity then this could be just for you! I needed a conditioner/moisturizer that does that but also helps with frizz and can last! I have med to high porosity so this THICK texture is great. It allows my hair to take its time in eating up all the product instead of just doing a disappearing trick with most other products. The major cold front towards the end of 2022 just happened and I was out and about with all the high winds and my hair was still tamed and moisturized and not a curl out of place. It's ofc not going to work for everyone and every hair type just because you have "curly" hair BUT if your hair seems to take a lot of conditioner and seems dry after a day or so then this may work for you. I wash my hair about once a week but I at least wet and comb it 2-3 a week and this moisturizer holds for a good couple of days without feeling like there's any film or residue. Some comments have mentioned white residue but I have not experienced this at all. Maybe if you're using too much because again it is easy to use too much. It doesn't seem super thick but once it's in your hair you'll realize what you need to do to work it in.
I've found ways around this by thinning it out with water and covering the jar with the lid when I'm not actively scooping out product to use (it will become sticky and thicken up when exposed to air for too long). Works well for me when I work in small sections, apply it to one section, and immediately twist that section. If you apply it to your whole head at once and think you're going to go back through and easily twist it all, think again! It will become tacky and tangle your hair if left to sit on it without styling. This hasn't been a problem for me when untwisting my hair though. It's too heavy for me to use on wash days, so I stick to lighter products like Melanin' leave-in and butter. But this is my go-to when I refresh/re-moisturize my hair a week later. I lightly dampen my hair, apply a tiny bit of Melanin leave-in, then a layer of this and follow with a layer of grease/oil. Helps smooth down my frizz without my usual need for gel or mousse. The scent is too strong for me, but I like fragrance-free everything, so I can't really weigh in on this aspect. I've never experienced flaking with this; however, I don't use more than a dime size amount on each chunky twist and I always follow it with grease/oil, so one or both of these could be the reason why.
