Allergies, migraines, sensitivities, and others...... all led me to SEEN. I decided to go on my curly hair journey during COVID since I was unable to go to a hairdresser. This also posed a challenge as I was used to straightening my hair for years with a flat iron, have a Keratin treatment once a ye...ar, and had no clue on what to do with my curly hair. Today I see this as a bit of a blessing, and a challenge. Though this was a bit overwhelming, I sat down and thought about it, and realized that my greatest priorities became my health first; then hair curl definition/ moisture/hydration/frizz second. The search was on for products that were fragrance free, made my hair feel clean, and would not clog my pores. I had tried so many products that claimed they were fragrance free, but often were not truly fragrance free, and tended to not make your hair feel clean. But I never gave up... and then one day in frustration, I googled like a mad hatter, though with little to no hope of finding anything, as months had gone by with products coming and being returned; or being thrown out as they made me sick, and did not work. I was literally at my wits end and frustrated; then I read about SEEN, and was cautiously optimistic as so many products are irritating, fragranced, caused breakouts, and trigger headaches. So, I took the plunge. This was one of the first products that I used from the company and I like it. Since I decided not to flat iron or blow my hair for a while, when it arrived I decided to use this as a leave in conditioner (though it is not a conditioner). I will say that I use a leave in treatment from Griffin Remedy with this to help my hair. Overall the product meets my expectations of fragrance free and being non-comedogenic. I also love that it has UVA protection. I still get dry and frizzy so that is a bummer for me. I noticed that glycerin is one of the top ingredients and I wonder sometimes if with the weather in California if this ingredient being so high up on the ingredient listing might be a challenge for my hair. Regardless, I will continue to use this product. However, I do hope that they come up with a super duper hydrating and moisturizing leave in conditioner; a gel, and an ultra-sleek wax to keep down the baby hairs.
