I have a layered haircut with fine textured hair that is long, heavy and thick. I want volume at the roots but also want a product (besides finishing hairspray)that helps to hold the curl I put in with a curling iron. Is this the product I should use at the roots, and what other product do I use to help hold the curl from midshaft to ends?

It's OK, but that's all.
At first I thought I really liked this product, but I spike my hair & it's just too "wet" for that. I do not use a blow dryer, just spike by hand when my hair is wet, and this product dispenses very "wet" and that makes spiking difficult.

Discovered this product last year while on vacation in spokane. Went into the local Ulta store and clerks helped me out wonderfully and now can't live without it. I can now style my hair any way I want to. Works great.

Ive tried rhis product several tomes, bit it completely messes up my head of hair everytime. I have medium hair and it's naturally straight. It feels like I dropped large amounts of putty in my hair. It gets very matted and just a mess. Might work for others.

Okay so this stuff works great for volume. But, youve gotta get the hang of it. If you spray too much in one area it leaves it an oily nasty mess. Over all I would buy again bc it does great for my stacked bob hair cut.
