Q
Can it be used with BHA/AHA in the same routine?
Asked by Yun
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for your question. You can absolutely use the Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum together with AHA or BHA in the same routine. These ingredients can complement each other when used properly — helping to smooth skin texture, calm redness, and support overall clarity. For best results, we recommend applying the AHA/BHA toner first, allowing it to absorb fully, and then following with the Azelaic Acid serum. This sequence helps maintain effectiveness while minimizing any potential irritation. As with any active ingredients, if your skin is new to exfoliants, you may start by using them on alternate days and gradually increase frequency as your skin adjusts. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can it be used with retinol in the same routine?
Asked by Yun
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for reaching out to us. Our Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum can generally be used alongside retinol, as both ingredients target different skin concerns and can complement each other. However, since both azelaic acid and retinoids can be active ingredients, we recommend introducing them gradually and using them at different times of the day — for example, applying the azelaic acid serum in the morning and retinol/retinal in the evening. This approach helps minimize potential irritation, especially for sensitive skin. If you experience dryness, redness, or discomfort, please reduce the frequency of use and ensure your skin is well-moisturized.Was this answer helpful to you

Q
How does this Soothing Serum compare to the Rice Ceramide Hydraring Barrier Serum when it comes to dealing with sensitivity and reducing inflammation?
Asked by Tina
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for reaching out to us! Both serums are suitable for sensitive skin, but they work in slightly different ways. The Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum is formulated to calm redness and visibly reduce inflammation, making it ideal for easily irritated or acne-prone skin. Meanwhile, the Rice Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum focuses on restoring moisture and strengthening the skin barrier to help prevent future sensitivity. If your main concern is managing redness and inflammation, we recommend starting with the Azelaic Acid serum. If you have any further questions, feel free to let us know - we’re here to help. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Should this product be used during the day or night? Is there also other skincare products you shouldn't use at the same time with the serum? Like a vitamin c, AHA/BHA or a retinol? Also, since this product has exfoliating properties should you avoid using a physical exfoliant while using this product?
Asked by Meow meow
Official Answer By Anua - Brand Engage
Thank you for your question about our Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum. This serum can be used both morning and night. If your skin is sensitive or new to azelaic acid, we recommend starting once daily in the evening, then gradually increasing to twice daily as your skin adjusts. It can be used in the same routine with AHA/BHA, as these ingredients complement each other when layered properly. For best results, apply your AHA/BHA toner first, let it absorb, and then follow with the Azelaic Acid serum. However, to minimize potential irritation, we recommend avoiding high-strength Vitamin C or Retinol in the same routine. These can be alternated between AM and PM use instead. Since the serum already provides mild exfoliation, we also advise not to combine it with physical exfoliants, as this may over-exfoliate the skin. Was this answer helpful to you

Did not agree with my skin

As I have aged I have begun to get more redness that tends to occur after cleansing. I am always searching for a good product that can calm my skin down. I was able to try the Anua AZELAIC ACID 10 HYALURON REDNESS SOOTHING SERUM. I applied a few drops of the serum to my freshly cleansed face. The...

I received this product free from beauty tap and Azelaic in exchange for my honest review. The Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum has been a total game-changer in my skincare routine! From the very first use, I noticed how lightweight and refreshing it felt on my skin. It absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky residue, which I really appreciate. What I love most is how effectively it calms down redness and irritation—my complexion looks more even and feels much more comfortable. The added hyaluronic acid keeps my skin hydrated and plump all day long without clogging pores. It layers beautifully under moisturizer and makeup, so it's super easy to incorporate into both my morning and evening routines. After consistent use, my skin looks smoother, clearer, and more balanced. It's gentle yet powerful, which makes it perfect even for sensitive skin like mine. Honestly, I can't recommend this serum enough—if you struggle with redness, uneven texture, or just want a soothing boost of hydration, this is a must-have!

BEST PRODUCT EVER!!!

I heard that azelaic acid was good for getting rid of redness in the skin, and this is by far the best product that I have ever used, I've already went through one bottle and repurchased a new one. I have sensitive and acne prone skin and it gets rid of the redness in my skin and soothes it, I've noticed the texture in my skin has gone down a lot and the overall complexion of my skin has improved with implementing this product. I highly recommend it, I use it in the morning and at night!!

as a teenager who has STRUGGLED with acne this is by far the best product out there, i have tried tons of products but none compare to this! I saw a noticeable difference in my ance after just one hour after my first use, however, be cautious using this product with other actives! I started adding more "powerful" cleansers and other products (my dermatologist thought my routine was too "gentle) and it did break me out, but once I stopped using my other actives at the same time my skin started clearing back up! If your considering it just buy it! Its an amazing product and if you dont like it you can always return it 🙂

It's best for sensitive skin but can make your purge.

It's pretty good, gets rid of dark spots, gets rid of tiny bumps and can sting a little bit but nothing no one can handle. It's also fungal acne safe and helps cool down my redness, I recommend using it one every two days as a start.

Best calming serum!!

I've been using this for 3 months as the only serum in my AM & PM routine, and it has made SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE!! It helps to calm my redness and prevent breakouts. I've noticed significantly less breakouts since using this. My skin also feels hydrated after applying. One thing to note is to start slow!! I personally started with 2-3 drops a day for about 2 weeks and built up to 3 drops in the morning and 5 at night.
