This fragrance has been an incredible addition to my collection. I haven't tried the original Alien so I don't have that to compare this to, but my first impression is that this is a bold scent. It's certainly on the stronger side, and I find that 1-2 sprays will last all day for me. If this is spra...yed on clothing, you will certainly be able to smell it until the clothes are washed. For some people this may be too strong of a scent, but I prefer a stronger fragrance over something that won't last all day. The scent on this is definitely floral, but with a strong vanilla base that brings a sense of warmth and rounds out what could be an overpoweringly Jasmine focused scent. For some people, this may still be too strong of a floral fragrance, but I find that this is the perfect combination of the brightness of florals and the warmth of vanilla scents. It really is the best of both worlds and I love how it smells throughout the day as it dries down and wears on my skin. This fragrance is versatile; it's seductive and dark, while simultaneously being warm and approachable. I would say that this scent is best suited for colder months, especially with the warm vanilla base notes, but I can see myself wearing this for a date night any time of the year. I really love the packaging for this fragrance, it feels luxurious and I feel like it's a perfect visual interpretation of the scent as a whole. The dark purple glass is seductive and mysterious, and the abstract bottle is eye catching with it's sharp edges and slightly rounded bottom. The bottle looks beautiful on my dresser and it stands out in my collection of perfumes. I also really appreciate that the bottle is refillable - I like it when brands take steps to make more eco-friendly design choices without compromising their design. Overall, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite fragrances for everyday wear. The scent is alluring and mysterious, but not so overpowering that it can't be a daytime fragrance. I see myself repurchasing this when I run out (or at the very least, buying the refill bottle) as I see this being a perfume I reach for a lot especially in the colder months. This is, at its core, a bold scent for people who are looking for something head-turning. This won't be a scent that everyone enjoys, but I have been a huge fan of it so far.
