COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Bottle has lasted me 4 months- I use day and night after my milky toner. It gives that glowing look without making you look sweaty.

I saw so many good reviews on this product and it looked like exactly what I needed but immediately within a day after using it I noticed really small, red, pimple-like bumps around my eyes. It did feel nice and moisturizing on the skin but my skin had some sort of reaction to it which I've never experienced with a product. Once I stopped using it the bumps went away in a few days. Perhaps if you have sensitive skin take precautions when trying this product out.

It's a personal thing. There's nothing actually wrong with this essence, it's wonderfully hydrating and luxurious but for me, I can NOT get past the texture to use it. I was able to put it on my face a total of three times and each time I had a horrible experience. The moment it comes out of the bottle opening it's so thick and slimy and i can't do the texture. Even rubbing it into my hands before putting it on my face the texture is so slimy it makes me gag, then I still have to rub it into my face and it takes forever to dry down and the whole time I'm left feeling like I'm trying to rub snot into my face and it literally makes me nauseous. But when I have been able to use it, it's extremely hydrating and a great product. So even though it's definitely not for me, I'd still recommend this product to a friend. It's a great product but for me it's a sensory issue.

I'm completely underwhelmed by this miracle product. I've been using this 2x daily for 2 months and am halfway through the bottle. I haven't experienced any of the claims like smoother skin, less irritation, etc. I have sensitive combination skin, and since adding this to my routine, I've had small breakouts on my chin and the pores on my nose are more clogged; I've had to start using nose strips which I stopped a few years ago. The mucin irritated my skin initially; after the first 2 weeks, I started to notice a slight burning sensation when applying products to my face, just like when I first started using retinol. After doing more research and looking at Cosrx's own website, I'm convinced the main benefit of this is hydration and everything else is just marketing. I think users with dry skin will benefit, but since I have oily/combination skin, it doesn't help me. I also live in a hot and humid place. I might give this a second shot in the winter to see if my skin feels better, but for now, I don't plan to re buy.

I think im on my 5th or 6th bottle of this stuff which says A LOT because I am very indecisive and also very picky when it comes to skincare. I recommend this to all my friends. It has changed my skin and helps so much. I started using this when I was pregnant and had terrible cystic acne on my jaw. When I tell you after the first use, I was hooked. It made my skin look so bright and hydrated and got rid of my cystic acne. I still do get random flareups here and there because my hormones are kind of all over the place but this helps calm it down so much and get rid of it quicker and helps scarring. I also use it on my chest. Just try it!!!
