Most Helpful Positive Review A great retinol without the drying effects
So I've been putting off retinol for awhile EVEN though it's been engrained in my head that we now know its the number one active ingredient everyone should be using to fight off aging, fine lines, sun damage, acne, among other things. But there's so many options out there to pick from its overwhelming and having to go through a skin purge like I did the first time I tried a retinol a year ago is also downright scary. So when I got the option to try it cosmetics retinol serum in a cream I was over the moon because 1. This is the first I'm hearing of this brand having a retinol, I think its pretty new. If I'm looking around my vanity most of my ride or die products are from it cosmetics, so I know odds are that I will like this one too. If they put a lot of thought and time development into their other products that Iove I love that have been hits then this retinol serum surely will be too. So my long drawn out point is that knowing what brand made this serum eased my overwhelming anxiety. It also says this is a more gentle one, and you can use it everyday. Because it's in a cream, they claim that is supposed to fight off the dry and peeling skin. So I put the serum on as my last step in my skincare. There is absolutely no scent which I love. It has a serum-cream like consistency and its yellow. I also really liked the way it made my skin feel. It didn't tingle or burn. It made my skin feel cool, which made me confident that I had just put an active ingredient on. It also made my skin very smooth and very hydrated and I did not put a moisturizer on after. I enjoy this serum more than the strivectin retinol vitamin c serum I was using before this. I didn't end up buying another one after I used it up for the one reason of I've always learned you aren't supposed to use a retinol at the same time as a vitamin c and I didn't feel like it was doing anything. The it cosmetics serum I am being consistent in applying it every night, that is the key or it won't do its job. I haven't had any purges or dry peeling skin yet. I don't know if that's because I've already used retinol in the past or if its because of this serum's formulation. I spent two weeks at the beach this past week just baking in the sun and when I got back from my trip wow did I see the sun damage all over my forehead, chest, and even hands. I've been applying this on my hands and chest and bit by bit its amazing how its starting to disappear. So now while using this retinol you have to wear sunscreen or it will be ineffective. Either way I am really enjoying it and definitely recommend. Just another hit by it cosmetics!
Most Helpful Critical Review It seems nice enough but I couldn't really use it
This cream is lightweight and rubs in really nicely. It's a little more greasy than I expected going on, but it absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave a heavy feeling or a greasy feeling afterwards. Despite the texture feeling a little more oily than I'd expected, it did not seem to make my skin greasier in the t-zone while I wore it.
Unfortunately, despite multiple efforts to try to wear it, including one time under makeup, I had to remove it pretty quickly after applying it. It has a lovely, light scent... it's not cloying OR overwhelming. But something in the scent still triggered a migraine for me, which was honestly a bit of a surprise. Usually, I find that it's only very strong scents that do this to me, and I tend to pre-test products by rubbing them on my hand and sniffing first (which sounds weird, I'm sure, but when you've had migraines, you get it).
I did that with this product, and it seemed okay. I think it was just once it was on my face for a few minutes in a larger amount, closer to my nose, it was a problem.
While I can't give a long term review, what I can say is my skin felt very soft supple right after it was all absorbed (and even for several hours after I cleansed to remove it). It wasn't sticky or tacky (two things I hate in a skincare product).
I don't use foundation but my moisturizer and other makeup went on nicely over it the first time I tried it (the subsequent times I was wary of a headache, so I didn't put any additional product on). This is something I always particularly notice with powder-based products, like blush or highlighter and I didn't have any issues applying them (no streaking or clumping up).
My skin is sensitive, with some t-zone oiliness and periodically prone to breakouts (which typically are NOT product related). Some products tingle, and even though sometimes that's expected it can be too much for my skin. This did not tingle at all and It didn't burn my skin, it didn't seem to cause any other irritation (again, I didn't get to wear it long, but usually I can tell quickly if a product will be a problem for my somewhat fickle skin), either. Plus, I tested it on my hand each time and my hands are very eczema prone (especially this time of year) and it didn't irritate my eczema. That's not to say I'd recommend it if you have eczema on your face because with the retinol it might be a problem over extended usage.
I have written reviews of products before that had very heavy scents where I've flat out said if you're a migraine sufferer and your migraines are triggered by scents, you might want to pass on that. I am NOT going to say that on this product. I would say try it sparingly if you're especially sensitive and see how it goes. This wasn't a scent I thought would be an issue for me, and I think it's probably not going to be one for most people, either.
One thing I do want to point out. This is a sample size, and I only used it 4 times, plus small dots on my hand each time. I *maybe* could have gotten one more full use out of the tube. I feel that's important to note because I honestly don't think I could've given a review of any long term benefits with how small of a sample it was, even IF I'd been able to try to wear it daily or every other day. In my experience, I have to use a product for a few weeks to really see any differences.
This is especially true if I'm introducing a new product because sometimes (not always) a new product may initially make me break out, but once my skin adjusts, I do see benefits from it. I really don't know how anyone can say honestly, with a sample so small, that they were able to try it enough times to see significant improvements in any skin concerns.

It seems to be totally for my skin. Goes on smooth, and take a picture before, you use, then take another one after 14 day's.

My skin is combination to dry wild mild acne on the forehead. I only received a sample vial, but I saw results before it was empty. After two nights, all of my facial skin was smoother with less acne. After five nights, my crow's feet softened and scattered. It Retinol Serum-in-Cream didn't break my skin or irritate my eyes.
Holy Grail Retinol?
Stardust from Texas
I am not to new to retinol products and am always looking for my holy grail product, so I was excited to try this one by IT cosmetics! Things I liked: very minimal fragrance, cheaper than others I've tried, how smooth my face felt after applying, texture of the cream was just right and I felt like it made my skin feel firmer within minutes. Cons: I noticed it felt more drying that other similar products I've tried, so layering with a moisturizer is a must. It also gave me a slight burning feeling. I wouldn't say I have overly sensitive skins, so not sure why. As for noticing any reduction in wrinkles, I can't say it noticed much difference.
For me I'm not sure this is the right one, but I think for the price it is worth a try if you are curious.
Great product except for..

It burns the skin around my orbital bone and it specifically instructs you to use it there. Otherwise, it's great. Fast absorbing!

I received a sample of this in exchange for my review and I typically love It Cosmetics skin care so I was excited to try this 2 in 1.
Overall application was good, scent is not heavy, applied easily and dried quickly. I did apply at night only.
Since I was only able to use it for a couple of weeks I didn't notice a considerable difference, but I would definitely want to keep using it for a longer period to really get that full 12 week effect!

I'm surprised how soft my face feels with this. I would definitely recommend using this

I noticed fast results with this product. It not only hydrated my skin but smoothed out a frown line I had within days. It goes on very smooth and isn't sticky. It also has a pleasant smell.
SO FAR SO GOOD!

Used every morning. Feel so refresh, no sticky at all. Love the light smell. Pass first week of using SO FAR SO GOOD. Highly recommended.

After just 5 uses it burned my skin so badly I had to return it. Now, almost 10 days later my skin is still blotchy and severely dry in places. I haven't had this bad a reaction to any of the ingredients before but I DO have semi sensitive skin.
A little bit goes a long way

This daily retinol serum is the perfect addition to my skin after my cleanser, toner and BHA that I leave on every night. I put it on before my moisturizer and I feel it gives it that extra Mmph that my moisturizer needs. I'm noticing some lines that were more prominent slightly lessen. It's only been a few weeks so I can't say for sure. But it hasn't broken me out or dried me out. It seems mild enough but also powerful.
Moisturizing and Hydrating
Hazel from Washington
It Cosmetics Wrinkle Reducing Daily Retinol Serum-In-Cream features a dual retinol formulation - a blend of free and encapsulated retinol, the formula starts to reach at least 15 layers into skin's surface in just 1 hour. It also includes niacinamide. It claims to prevent aging, improve the skin's firmness and will reduce fine lines, dark spots and hyperpigmentation. I received a sample and couldn't really vouch for the long term results but the texture does feel soothing and glides smoothly on skin. Doesn't leave a sticky feeling. I like that it has a nice subtle smell which make it adds to a pampering feeling when applied. It does feeling moisturizing and hydrating.

Upon reading the instructions I was a bit apprehensive about only using a "pea size" amount however that was the perfect amount to cover all the targeted areas on my face. A little bit goes a ling way! This Hello Results Wrinkle-Reducing Daily Retinol Serum-in-Cream was lightweight and absorbed quickly. Left my face feeling soft and smoothe. Was pleasantly surprised by the smell of this product. It was not over powering like other products I've used. Will look into a full size of this product.

I really enjoyed using this product at first it felt like it helped with hydration in my face too smooth fine lines and wrinkles but I have sensitive/combo skin and I did break out a little from this, I believe maybe it's because I was using it with another retinol product and it caused a reaction but nonetheless if you don't have sensitive skin I'm pretty sure this would be a great product for you but it wasn't for me, given though I did received just a sample size.

I received a sample of this product in exchange for an honest review. I used it for about 2 weeks and it's a nice serum. Has a good consistency and absorbed well into my skin. I used it at night and when I woke up, my skin was glowing! I did not experience excessive irritation or redness like I have with other retinol products. That being said, if you've used retinol products before, this might not pack enough of a punch for you. Even though I liked the product, I was not given enough of a sample to see any real noticeable results.

Only received a sample so I can't really say if it's making a difference. Wish I would've be given the full amount. But it does feel good on the skin.
An effective an gentle retinol!

I'm so glad I got the opportunity to sample this retinol cream. I've always wanted to implement retinol into my skin care rotation , but everything I have tried has irritated my skin. This is fresh and not greasy. This absorbs quickly and is gentle to my skin. I have noticed an improvement in my skin since starting and plan on continue to use and purchase this product.

Overall Skin Improvement

I've been using this product for about two weeks. I don't have anything negative to say about it. Here's what I really like about it, in no particular order:
✔️ A very small amount goes a long way!
✔️ It doesn't feel greasy.
✔️ It's lightweight.
✔️ It has improved the overall condition of my skin.
✔️It leaves my face feeling soft.
✔️It almost creates a glow effect, which I really like.
✔️ It has smoothed out much of the puffiness under my eyes. I even got compliments on my eyes looking better! 👏🏻👏🏻
✔️ Although it can take some time for full effects, I began noticing changes in just a couple of applications.
✔️ Non scented
✔️ Didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all.
Wanaki from Maryland
I definitely saw results after using this serum-in-cream every morning. Goes on smooth and sheer, soaks right in, does not leave my face feeling oily, and has an amazing scent! Oh yeah - it reduced my fine lines!
It was good

I like how this IT cosmetics Wrinkle-Reducing Daily Retinol Serum-in-Cream absorb very quick and it didn't feel oily or greasy at all. My skin looked nice and hydrated after using this IT cosmetics product for the 7 days that I was able to test it out.
I was only able to test it out for one week so I can only say the things I said about how quick it absorbed and how good it was hydrating it felt on my skin but other then that I didn't really see anything else. The product it self had a nice texture and just a very light scent.
Very good for skincare

This is a awesome product to use for our skincare. I really enjoyed using this product better than I expected to. I am really happy that I was picked to try out this product for my wrinkles. Highly recommend to give this product a good chance.
Haven't noticed a difference yet.
Sette from Oregon
I am a huge fan of retinol like most of you out there and have used a variety of different ones through the years and I was excited to try this one because it states it's a serum and cream in one. So I used it for a full two weeks on my face and did not really notice any positive effects. I did feel that my cheeks were feeling a bit rougher in week two and felt it was drying. The pros: It smells great and isn't overly scented. It is lightweight and great to wear under make-up. The cons: It was too drying for me. I did not see any changes to my skin texture or tone and definitely not to my fine lines. Perhaps this would be good for someone that doesn't need as much moisture as I do and maybe it would be more effective for that type of skin, but for mine, I'd say I couldn't see it making an actual difference.
