For the price, I am very happy with this serum and will repurchase once I run out. My skin is very well adapted to high-powered vitamin C serums and chemical exfoliation, so I did not experience any sensitivity with this hydrating gel formula. I would not replace my much more expensive 15% L-ascorbic acid with this 12% ascorbyl glucoside solution, but it is a little extra boost of antioxidants and brightening on days I'm giving my skin a break from more intense actives. The biggest downside for me is that it goes on quite sticky and tends to pill up if I layer it over or under any other hydrating toners or serums, so it is a nighttime-only product in my routine.
I wanted to work on brightening my skin and the sun spots and acne scars that are on my nose and cheeks. I used at least 3 bottles of this twice a day for almost a year. I kept waiting to see results but not much happened. I decided that when the third bottle ran out, I would stop using it to see if I noticed any difference in my skin. Nothing. So, I concluded that this product does not do it for me. I switched to the Ordinary's Ascorbic Acid/Alpha Arbutin and almost immediately found the results I was looking for. (I don't have sensitive skin, thankfully.)
It's too bad, because the Ascorbyl Glucoside is a lot easier to use than the AA/AA. It has a great texture, no smell, it absorbed well, and I did not experience any side effects like breakouts or irritation. It did not conflict with the other products I was using, which is why I originally selected it. Unfortunately, it just did not change my skin for the better. Good thing I didn't spend a lot of money on it.

I been using the mandelic acid and rose hip oil in my nighttime routine and seen great improvement in my acne/overall skin health. I have been trying out other ordinary products and decided after research that the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% was the best Vitamin C option for me. I now do the squalene cleanser, Mandelic acid, wait for it to soak in then apply the AGSolution 12% before the rosehip oil or squalene (I alternate depending on time of month) I have seen a visible improvement since adding the AGSolution 12% in reduction of past acne spots and will continue to use.

Inexpensive and a good step in my am and on routine.

So far so good. I have sensitive skin and I have had no breakouts.

The vitamin C serum from Ordinary is my daily skin care routine. I have a combination skin and recently due to wearing mask most of the time due to COVID, my skin started having break outs and had to deal with acne. I stopped using it for a while because I thought less skin care product would make my acne go away and actually it made it worse. I started back to my routine of cleansing (cetaphil), toner, and THIS VITAMIN C and cerave moisturizer two times a day and made my skin much better in a week or two. I really could see the difference and my acne has gone and it is also helping me with acne marks. Bottom line, its amazing and has worked on my skin.

I only use this product at night. I put it on after cleansing, and after using the ordinary Niacinamide serum. I've been layering the two for about 8 months and it's been working for me. I've noticed that my skin is more radiant.

I use this vitamin c in the morning after my face spray. And so far, I love it. Helps to keep my combination skin bright without overwhelming it. And it's inexpensive compared to others!

I have oily dehydrated skin on the more sensitive side. I was a bit scared to use this because I didn't want my face to brake.. so far this serum has not brome me out and i have definitely noticed my face more brighter and my face looks AMAZING!!

It feels sticky to me. I don't like the consistency of it on my skin.

I had a major breakout and using this absolutely reduced scarring. Giving it 4 stars because it is slow to work. In my second bottle now but I do notice a difference.

I love the ordinary's products and was looking for a vitamin C to add to my morning routine. I didn't want anything with to high of a concentration because I didn't want to dry out or irritate my skin. This was the answer. It's so smooth. It is a little sticky but it's great for the skin. I apply it in the morning after I wash my face and use a toner. I follow it up with the ordinary's HA+B5 (after wetting my face) and then I moisturize and apply sunscreen. It has helped fade my acne scars and has evened out my skin ph so I don't break out. Plus it creates an extra barrier against outside pollutants. It's everything. I now wash my face twice a day and apply it daily. My skin is looking the best it's ever looked in my life!

I used the consistently every day until I used the entire bottle and wow, I love these products! Definitely could tell a difference in the glow of my skin and faded my hyperpigmentation! Buying again.

I honestly bought this product because I saw it used on Tik Tok. I have dry and very sensitive skin. I was worried this product would break me out but has done the complete opposite! I saw results in just a couple days! 10/10!!!

I love this stuff. It's a more gentler form of vitamin c but with sane benefits. Because ots more gentle, give it time to work for best results. I purchased to use daily under sunscreen and makeup. Non irritating vs other vitamin c products ive used. I love this stuff..
never discontinue please!! I'm 39 with combo skin .. oily tzone.

I've used a lot of vit C products, some even from this brand. This one has worked the absolute best. My skin has significantly brightened since using it. I store it in the fridge along with any other vit C products. I only use at night as I use a different vit C serum with collagen in the morning. I've noticed a change. I'll definitely be repurchasing. Love it.

I have been trying this product for about 2 months now. I have oily skin, some occasional breakouts and dark spots and small fine lines. It has helped with some of my problems but I feel that they are better products on the market.

I've tried the Magnesium one with the matte consistency and the Vitamin C/Vitamin F Tetraisopalmitate, and the Ascorbyl Glucoside is the best one. It has the mildest interaction with my skin and it really brighten and evens out your skin. I would ever say my frown lines are starting to fade thanks to this product, and "Buffet" (also by TO).

I've been using this serum for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it. I use it morning and night and it's made my skin look the best it's had in years. I especially like wearing it under my makeup in the mornings because it leaves my skin a little tacky, and this helps makeup cover any acne I have. I highly recommend this, and at this price point why not try it!

This product is an absolute game changer for me. I always have had "pimples" on my cheeks, but recently an aesthetician told me she thought it was a form of rosacea. She recommended adding a Vitamin C serum into my routine and suggested some very expensive options. I read reviews for this and based on it's excellent price point, I gave it a try.
This stuff goes on very smoothly, non greasy whatsoever. It truly has an expensive serum feel. I am not being dramatic, within 2 days of using this in the morning, my rosacea was 99% gone. It also has reduced the look of dark freckles on my forehead and just gave my skin a natural glow (not shine!). Everyone is telling me they've never seen my skin look so good and I credit it all to this stuff. If you're on the fence, seriously try it. It's a potion made from Professor Slughorn himself, I swear.

This product does wonders absolutely would buy again my "new" must have!
Angie from Yay Area
This is not the best brightening product I've tried. It tends to work sometimes, but I think my skin just needs something stronger.
Charlie from Jacksonville FL
I am on my second bottle of this I love it so much! I use as a part of my night routine. Apply to a damp face and follow up with moisturizer. Skin is dewy and glowing all night long and into the morning!
nancelvsdnat from San Antonio
I use this every morning by mixing with my day cream, it helps reduce the shine. If used alone or apply too much product it leaves you really shiny. A little goes a long way.
Jacob from Chicago
The research shows that derivatives of vitamin C isn't comparable and definitely did absolutely nothing much for my skin but hydrate it. Maybe. Who even knows.
