I thought this palette looked beautiful when I first saw it being advertised, but when I got it in front of my and started searching, there are so many shades that have so much more depth to them that a photograph will pick up. Some beautiful color shifts and that sparkle so many of us love. I've heard people call this boring, but I've also had those same people wanted to know what shadow I was wearing because it looks so beautiful. I havent seen a palette like this anywhere else and I will wear every single of these shades. I love the soft, muted colors so much right now, I think they just look so nice on so many people. I realize that with my skin tone being very fair, I don't have to worry about these colors not showing up for me, but I think putting a good shadow base, like the P Louise base or the Mac paint pots will eliminate any chance of these not being beautiful on all skin tones. If this palette is boring than I'm all about boring eye shadow I guess. As far as being performance, I just want to say that I'm not in any way an expert at applying eyeshadow, but I find that I have a really easy time getting the matte shades to do what I want them to do. When I blend them they are even on the eye and still have a good amount of color, I can add more color and it still blends out nicely. The shimmer/glitter are beautiful too. Not a ton of fallout but I have always found that the brush I use and my technique can really make a huge difference where fallout is concerned. Great job, Lime Crime!
IDK why I bought this honestly. The color story was slightly intriguing to me and I was in a shopping mood and had never bought anything from Lime Crime. It's not a complete miss but it isn't anything spectacular, especially for the price. If your someone that needs a lot of mattes to complete a look you will not like this one, or at the very least will need to use it as a companion palette because there are only 4 mattes. This palette also doesn't go very deep which for something that claims to be new-grunge I was surprised by. I don't regret buying it but it will be using more as a companion palette unless I want a very simple sage or mauve eye. As I said nothing spectacular in the formula so its really just if you like the color story and/or the brand.

Not good. Had a hard time getting it to show up on my eyes even with a primer. Very powdery and the "fall out" is pretty bad. Not worth the price.

I have had this palette for about a year or so and the colors are beautiful. The pictures online don't do this palette justice at all. I have light skin with cool undertones so I wasn't too sure about the orange and sage shades, but even those colors worked when I tried them. The bright yellow (in the ad) looking shade on the bottom is more of a mint color in real life.

I saved for months to get this palette because the colors are beautiful. I was so disappointed. The shadows are not pigmented, they blend away and even with setting spray it doesn't last. The first and possibly last Lime Crime product I buy.

The color story is beautiful... but the mattes have no pigment, they blend away to nothing. To get the color to stay I had to pack on so much product that my eyes were cakey looking. The shimmers are good. Quality wise I would place this above wet n wild, the shimmers sorta saved it... And below colourpop.

Really disappointed, I loved the color story on this palette but the shadows are just bad. All shimmers hard pan after one use. Mattes are hard to use. I have less trouble with Colorpop and drugstore makeup. Absolutely ridiculous for the price.

I'm and olive undertoned black woman, and this will probably be for daily use. its perfect, subtle, and has some great bold moments. Especially for fall, my favorite season.

I own most of the lime crime palettes and this is the most beautiful in my collection! Wonderful color payoff and super unique shades as always!

I have around 80 eyeshadow palettes in my collection. The Venus XL 2 is among my favorites. The pigmentation is good and the shadows blend easily and don't disappear. The color story is unique. The packaging is beautiful. It's super easy to create a look with.
I will never part with this palette.

the shades are absolutely gorgeous and super pigmented and blendable. the shimmer topper shades are very sparkly and add the perfect touch to the lid of my eyeshadow looks

I've had this palette for a while now and i am still in love with it! It builds up and blends so well. The greens in this palette are different than any other palette and they work so beautifully with the pinks and browns. If your willing to splurge this is a great palette!

Great colors, easy to blend

I've wanted this palette for a while, and I always went back and forth on whether I should buy it or not because it seemed to have mixed reviews. But I finally decided to buy it and I don't regret it at all! It's a beautiful color story, which is what drew me in. I love the greens so much. There are only four matte shades, which I was afraid would make things difficult, but I actually don't mind it. These eyeshadows aren't going to be intense or huge impact - they are meant to be soft and ethereal. With this in mind, the formula of the shadows really is beautiful. The mattes blend great. My one issue is that, like other reviewers have said, the shimmer shadows can get "hard pan" pretty quickly. So far, the shade Thorn is the only one that has developed hard pan for me. It happened pretty quickly, which was annoying, especially because it's such a pretty shade. I used tape to get rid of it, and it works fine, but I can tell it will continue to develop again. If you can be patient and don't mind dealing with any hard pan issues that may develop, you won't regret getting this palette. I have been reaching for it a ton and it makes me feel like a garden fairy!!

So many pretty colors and they go on and stay on great!

I wasn't sure if I was going to like his but the colors intrigued me and remind me of too faced's cover palette. But I love this palette. It's subtle if you want it to be, a wash of color, or dramatic
AJ from Oklahoma
This is one of my favorite palettes, due to the soft, romantic shades mixed with vibrant pops of color and pigmented shimmers.

Beautiful color story in this palette! Formula of the mattes is great but the shimmers got hard pan immediately. That was a bummer because they were what drew me into the palette.

I lean toward neutrals and green shadows, so this one caught my eye. It's a little pricey for a pallet, but was definitely worth it. One of my favorite, everyday pallets and I have about 20 others, thanks to my beauty subscription box. :) Blends well, has a nice variety of mattes, shimmers and even a dark brown for the lash line. Very pretty! Will not disappoint!

These shadows are amazing I use these palettes more then any others I own. There soft but not to soft so they blend like a dream. They are pigmented and long wearing. Packaging is always adorable. Color combos are fun unique.

My boyfriend bought this for me as a Valentine's Day gift, and I was super excited! He knows I LOVE lime crime eyeshadow palettes, and I had always been satisfied with previous products. --- I had high expecations.
... However, not all the shadows are as pigmented, only the mattes have a nice pigmentation. I'm not a professional make up artist, but I still had a hard time blending and making colors stand out. I was very sad because he wasted so much money and I was dissappointed the product didn't work for me :'(

This is great , the pigmentation and
shimmer is gorgeous for some colors. It takes practice to mix colors and shade with different brushes and natural lighting .
If you really know how to use eyeshadow you would appreciate it

I immediately fell in love with this beautiful, unique color story! The greens, rusty browns and pinks are absolutely stunning and go great together. You can just see a million different looks by just glancing at the palette. However, there are a few issues. The first one being that there are only 4 mattes in this palette with 18 total shadows. They definitely could have added more and dropped a few of the shimmer or topper shades. Because out of those 4, only 2 will work as crease/transition shades on my lighter skin tone. Next, this is way more of a neutral palette than it appears to be from pictures online. The only unique shade is Obscure, which is a semi-neon green shade. It takes a lot of building up, but is a very pretty color. But the biggest issue I have with the palette is the amount of hard pan on the shimmer and/or topper shades. I noticed it appear on about 2-3 after only swatching the shadows one time! After using the palette about 3 times, 6 shades now have hard pan. That's ridiculous for the price that you're paying for this palette. Yes, you can remove it with tape and then it works fine for about one use until the hard pan appears again. But it's super annoying. There are pros and cons to this palette. But overall, I wouldn't purchase it again.

3.5 stars. This is a really pretty pallette. Most of the shadows are so unique and unlike anything I already had. Pictures don't do it justice. Thorn is probably my favorite (a light peachy metallic with flecks of violet glitter). Unfortunately a lot of the shades hard pan, and while this isn't a major issue for me it is kind of annoying. While most of the colors are beautifully pigmented, the green shadows, particularly sage and myth have little payoff, although not as bad as the green shadows in the regular Venus 2 pallette which was virtually unusable. They work best with a primer. Sage can be built up but myth is definitely a topper and is very sheer compared to how it looks in the pan. It works best tapped into the lid with a dense brush. Also it would be nice if there were a few other matte shades

I bought this over the Too Faced palette and I really regret it. This was my first experience with Lime Crime and I have serious trust issues now. There wasn't one color I tried that wasn't hard and everything was poorly pigmented. I even tried applying with my finger and foiling them but nothing worked. I have a ton of palettes ranging from Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona to Colourpop so it's not like I'm being snobby; it was just really sucked trying to use it. I was really looking forward to this because the colors filled in some gaps in what I already owned but I wouldn't recommend this at all.

Beautiful colors, different from what I was expecting. Toppers are so glittery and pretty. Blend like a dream
