Most Helpful Positive Review Truly gentle for the skin barrier with luxury texture I bought this cleanser in my local Ulta after seeing it there several times and waiting to see how others were reviewing and getting along with it. I was very impressed with the ingredients; it is difficult to find a gentle milk cleanser that is truly acne safe! Or really any cleanser for that matter. I have just finished a protocol with Roccoco Botanicals to heal my skin barrier and was looking for something to maintain my clear skin and continue to cleanse effectively without stripping the barrier I had just built back up. The value for money here is incredible, I thought at first it was just too good! I decided to buy it and I am so grateful I did. I do not use any foaming cleansers because I have inflammatory acne prone skin post childbirth. My skin is rather normal with oil control and can tend to be on the dry side at times. This cleanser isn't the most hydrating, but it rinses off like a gel and leaves no residue on my skin. It is a white milky-gel with about a medium viscosity. It is just right really and spreads on the skin really well, damp or dry. I wouldn't recommend for makeup removal, this is a skin cleanser not a remover! I use Bioderma Sensibo H2O to remove makeup and go in with this on dry skin, then add a few drops of water on my fingers after working it in about 30 seconds dry. I use in the morning also and apply it on my dry skin and leave it as a mask for a few minutes in effort to benefit form the niacinamide and ceramides in it, then rinse. It leaves my skin soft but also feeling cleansed, without any squeakyness, dry tightness, or dullness often accompanied by cleansers. I have noticed that this helps maintains my skin barrier well since my skin isn't red or pink after cleansing. I would absolutely recommend this for every skin, especially acne prone since there are no real clogging ingredients in this apart from the Tocopherol which is not only last on the list, but is getting rinsed off. Prefer this over my Glossier Milky Jelly!
Most Helpful Critical Review Makes face burn. Did some research before picking up this item at my local Ulta, only to find out that it makes my face feel really hot when it touches the skin, and even hotter when I run it under water to rinse it off. I'm not sure which ingredient in the bottle is causing the burning sensation, so I would only recommend it to those who know for sure that none of the ingredients on the label will irritate them, because it really did a great job of cleansing my skin and making it feel comfortable after drying. I just can't get past the burning feeling during washing every single time.

Usually before I head into Ulta, I've done my research like literally hours on the computer reading pages of reviews and looking up ingredients and so on etc. ( I cant be the only one so hello all). I was in Ulta one day before class (Master Esthetics Program) and was looking for a face wash and remembered I saw this brand everywhere so I stopped to look at their stuff. I didn't know anything about it but I picked this up because I figured it would be a safe option since it advertises being gentle and then also their salicylic/glycolic toner and then their night cream for sensitive skin and WOW all of them are straight bangers no joke. I don't use this stuff to take everything off but as my second cleanse it's absolutely amazing. I use a Neutorgena's makeup removing oil on all my makeup and scrub for a while before letting it sit. I then go back in with this one and use quite a bit and rub for awhile and also let it sit. My last cleansers left my face so tight that I ran immediately for lotion after but this stuff is amazing. I almost doubted it even cleaned my skin because it was so gentle it doesn't even feel like you washed it. I always use toner afterwards and all the cotton pads came back spotless so it definitely cleaned. I follow this with their toner and some night serum and top it off with their moisturizer and I wake up with calmed and even skin tone along with no dryness. Its gentle enough to restore the hydration but I recommend pairing it with some serums to really top it off. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to share for those who love reading comments!
So far - I like it!! 5

I try to use product in the morning and then at night before bed. And I'll be honest I don't always stick to that schedule. However, I am seeing results! If these results continue, I will be buying this product again.
BEST CLEANSER EVER 5
Claire from Virginia
THIS IS THE BEST PRODUCT IVE EVER USED. the bottle is huge, so you get a bang for your buck! I bought it and within 3 days all my acne and maskne (acne from my mask) was completely gone! my pores were tiny, and it looks like i'm wearing foundation all the time. I use it morning and night, and I will never go a day without using it anymore. this is a HOLY GRAIL! it is scentless and perfect for sensitive skin. BUY THIS CLEANSER!
A nice cleanser 4

For the price and amount you get this is an amazing cleanser. I do find that I have to go in and cleanse twice with this cleanser sometimes (after already using a makeup dissolver) but it doesn't strip the skin AT ALL so it's not really an issue. I have dry sensitive skin and love this cleanser.
A gentle, creamy, and lovely cleanser! 5
BreakingBlonde from Miami
Love this when I've used my acids and need a wash that will be good to my skin. This wash has ceramides and Niacinamide. Plus, no yuckies (oils, parabens, fragrance)! Might have to try the blue version (foaming for oily skin) of this same wash when this one runs out to see how they compare! I was originally between this product and CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser, but I use a HA serum and love Niacinamide for my pores so much. I am very happy with my choice! Also, it is winter right now and my skin tends to get dry this season, so this has been a welcome addition to my skincare lineup to hive my skin some extra hydration.
Dry skin dream 5

Very good for dry, sensitive skin. Soothing and great to use as a second cleanse after taking off my makeup with an oil
unpleasant burning 2
Kat4kix from Virginia
Had such high hopes....The first couple of times I didn't have an issue but about the 3rd use I noticed my skin has a burning feeling as soon as it touched my skin and my skin continued to feel hyper sensitive for 24 hours after. I'm 52 and never had this feeling before. I also noticed a few breakouts and can only attribute to this face wash since nothing else in my routine changed.

Might be great if the pump wasn't shattered in shipping.
Not good for sensitive skin 2
Las728 from Maybrook NY
It's hydrating but that's not enough. There's something in this that burns my skin and makes my eyes tear!!! 😔. Awful. I'm very disappointed: need to return.
I did my research before buying this. Be careful if you have Sensitive and reactive skin.
Great product 5

It does not have subs. It's really light weight. Cleans everything off with one pump. It is a good sized bottle for the price.
This product is great 5

This product is great for dry skin. It leaves your face feeling clean but not stripped of moisture. Also very affordable and comes highly recommended by dermatologists. Not great for removing a full face of makeup but that's not really it's purpose.
Love love love this. 5

Love love love this. I have been using cetaphil gentle cleanser foe years and never felt like it actually did much for me. Didn't cleanse my skin all the way and had absolutely no benefits. But I've tried La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Facial Cleanser to keep my routine fairly simple to rebuild my moisture barrier. This face wash has a similar feel to cetaphil, almost a lotion, so it doesn't foam which leaves my skin feeling soft after washing it instead of stripped and dry. I believe there is niacinamide in this which is just an added benefit for brightening skin and helping with breakouts without being too harsh. Moisturizers that have niacinamide seem to be a little irritating for my skin and I think cause some breakouts. The fact that I am washing this off I feel like I still get a little benefit from it but it I has not irritated my skin whatsoever. I am using Tretinoin so I don't need anything active as far as face washes go so this has been a miracle for my skin. Definitely an HG for me and I will repurchase for a loooong time

simple easy clean. great product gets rid of makeup dirt and oils but doesn't take away the moisture. works very well with the corresponding moisturizer
This cleanser is weird 5
oxmadeline from undisclosed
This cleanser is weird at first because it doesn't foam or get sudsy. It cleanses nicely without stripping the skin. It stays hydrated. You also get a large amount of product for the price.

Dry patches and bumps 1
Ashtyn from California
I have heard amazing things about this cleanser and thought it would work well with my dry skin. Unfortunately it created dry patches and bumps almost like a rash on my checks, chin and upper lip. I had only used this cleanser 3 times before it began doing this.
Love it 5

Don't buy this cleanser 1

It's not a gentle cleanser at all, dry my skin and feel a burning sensation on the skin.
Non foaming, non soap 4
celinac13 from undisclosed
Non foaming, non soap cleanser. Definitely has its place in my arsenal of cleansers. I reach for this when my skin is red, inflamed, and just plain hurts. Very gentle, nothing crazy. Does the job. Recommend for dry or sensitive skin.
Hands down my favorite 5

Hands down my favorite cleanser. I use this as step 2 in my double cleanse and it works so well. Very gentle and doesn't leave that right feeling afterwards.
GREAT ON OILY SKIN! 5
Joy Presley from NC
The best face cleanser I have ever used. Most reviews on this product said it works well on dry but not so oily but for me it works like a charm. Also it keeps my face really soft and gives it a finishing touch my skin needs.
Holy cow 5

After trying lots of cleansers throughout my life, I finally tried this one out. Mind you my skin is dry, super sensitive, acne prone skin and this cleanser is so gentle and has no fragrance whatsoever. I'm so impressed. Definitely a must have.
I absolutely LOVE this 5
anadabslab710 from undisclosed
I absolutely LOVE this cleanser. It does not lather but i dont mind at all. I used to be a lather kind of girl but as i get older it doesnt matter as long as it gets the job done. The best way i can describe this is almost a milky/creamy feel its super soft on the skin and literally cleanses your face so wonderfully. This has definitely helped with clearing my face breakouts and ever since ive been using this I rarely breakout I absolutely love this cleanser and its 13.52 oz and very inexpensive!
I have dry/dehydrated and 5
sarahpenguinm from undisclosed
I have dry/dehydrated and sensitive skin. I use this in the mornings to wash off any sweat, oils or product still left on my face from the night before. I loveee the fact it has a pump, one pump is all I need to wash my face..
I do slightly deviate from the washing instructions by pumping onto wet hands or adding a bit of water and mixing before putting on my face, but I just find that I can do a faster and more efficient clean that way for me.
