Most Helpful Positive Review Nars vs Urban Decay
I mainly wear my concealer under my eyes and as a spot treatment for blemishes. I've wore Covergirl concealer for ages and wanted to try something different. I picked 2 popular brands to try out because both were so highly rated on Ulta and other websites. I tested both the Urban Decay Naked concealer and the Nars concealer. I even wore Urban Decay on one eye and Nars on the other for several days, just so I could monitor the coverage throughout the day. Same for spot treatments. The first thing I noticed with these higher end, longer lasting concealers was creasing. I've never had that problem before so I had to research a solution. I learned to use a moisturizer/oil first, blot/blend the concealer with my finger and set with powder immediately. So I tested the 2 concealers again. Problem solved on both concealers. Urban Decay is much creamer than Nars so it blended with ease, like a lotion. It didn't last as long with spot treatments though. Eye wise, they were both pretty close but I felt that Nars made my skin look more flawless than Urban Decay. Nars is thicker than Urban Decay but spreads with no drag and doesn't look cakey. I think the thicker formula is why it sticks to blemishes better too. I can go all day at my office job and not touch up any spots, even after working out on lunch! Nars was the winner for me and was WAY better at lasting coverage compared to my old Covergirl concealer. I use the Vanilla shade and I have oily skin.
Most Helpful Critical Review just not good
I've been a makeup artist for around 13 years so i've tried SO many concealers. I love buying concealer, just as much as I love buying mascara because I guess i'm always just waiting for that one amazing product that's gonna be super life changing. This was definitely NOT one of those products. First off, the color range was just not great. I own several NARS foundations, and can easily find my shade in those (alaska in velvet matte skin tint, for example). I'm light-medium with a golden/yellow undertone. The golden tones in this concealer are either too light or too dark. Custard is their light/medium with a yellow undertone..then comes ginger. Custard was way too light, ginger was way too dark. In between those shades, there are other peachy tones like canelle, but if you're truly golden/yellow like me...peachy tones just look like you've rubbed pink eyeshadow all over your face. So that part was disappointing..and I run into this same issue in all of NARS concealers. So, beware of that if you're light and golden like myself. Then there was the issue with the texture. I'm not one of those people who piles on concealer and foundation...I personally feel that it's more modern and pretty and chic to blend concealer strategically so that you appear to just naturally have great skin...and with practice that is possible. And believe me, I don't naturally have great skin I'm just not into the mask-like foundation/concealer look. The goal is for people to look at me and think "wow her skin is so pretty" not "wow look at all that foundation." But the texture of this concealer was SO CAKEY. Even using light layers, and blending..it was just cakey no matter what. It's a drier consistency, and manages to make texture appear where there is not even any natural texture. For the price, this guy just is a dud. There are way better concealers out there with better shade ranges, and more advanced textures.

a new fave!

i just bought this product for the first time last week, and i have to say i'm obsessed! i have pretty dry skin, and i can easily start to look cakey, especially on the under eyes. this concealer definitely does not do that to me. it's less thick than a lot of other concealers i've tried, but it still has excellent coverage and i think a little goes a long way. i got it in shade vanilla and it matches me perfectly, i think next time i might try the lightest shade to give some extra highlight. i would definitely recommend this product for a natural, velvety look on the skin. it also feels like you're wearing nothing. and, i hate to admit it but i fell asleep in my makeup a couple times this week and it didn't make me break out or make my skin feel super weird. it's a perfect concealer and a refreshing change from a lot of super thick and cakey concealers.
Easy to use!

I use this product to contour and buff with a beauty blender or dense brush. Has staying power.
Not that this product needs any more ratings but...

But it lives up to the hype! I bought the shade Cafe con Leche and it has a slightly yellow tone which I wanted. I would love to compare colors, since there may an even closer match but it's pretty close and applies flawlessly. Interestingly, though, I found it to be a little drying and like to add moisturizer before applying. Does not crease and lasts all day.
I'll be adding this to my regular makeup routine.

i am someone who was naturally born with dark circles no matter how much sleep i get a night. i've tried almost every brand you can think of and this has been my go to concealer for about a year now. i haven't changed it and it covers everything pretty well. it doesn't crease for me nor is it cakey. I feel hydrated when wearing this. i blend with a sponge, brush, & sometimes even my finger. i 100% recommend! < 3
Not for women over 60

It was easy to apply and the correct color, however, it really accentuated my crinkles. I usually do not use a concealer, just foundation pressed powder. I don't seem to have the issue if I use powder only.

I purchased the shade Chantilly, it is great for under eye concealing as well as brightening. I'm not used to the small amount of product that comes out on the application, but maybe that's not a bad thing after all, I'm able to dot this around my eyes and not use so much product! It does crease a bit, but I wait and apply my eyelid primer, then smooth out the creases from the concealer and tap down with a bit of under eye setting powder and I'm good to go. It lasts all day. Not sure I would repurchase when there are SO many concealers out there. I'm thinking of trying the UOMA Stay Woke concealer next.
Not the best
Michelle from Washington
I used this to carve out my eyebrows and everytime I did that I could only use a certain amount of product or it would build up and look cakey. Also had a bit of flash back.
Love this concealer
MKRN from Virginia
I use this concealer under my eyes but also to cover dark spots on my face. Not too heavy, full coverage but very creamy and gives a nice glow to my skin. I just dab a little foundation over and I'm done!

I am thoroughly impressed! Coverage is great. Does not sit in creases. Very brightening. I like it for my aging skin.
This is the best concealer I've tried

It's so lightweight and I don't even need a foundation plus the color match is crazy good
I will never switch to another concealer!

Won't be buying again
Kim from San Diego, CA
Personally I like my concealer to be more thick and creamy. This felt very light and was not full coverage. I have a lot of freckles and it barely covers them. My normal routine is concealer before applying powder foundation.
I would definitely buy this product again

Not worth the hype in my opinion
LP from Michigan
I had high hopes for this but I don't know who this would be good for but it's definitely not for dry skin folks. I thought since it was creamy it would be perfect and not cake but it barely blends once you put it on your face and it creases under the eye even after baking.
I would buy this product again and again

Holy grail! Worth the hype!!! I wasn't sure so I opted for the mini before splurging on the full size. I loved the mini and am waiting until I'm out then will definitely repurchase the full size. Best concealer
I would not buy this again

I returned it. I felt like this product did not provide good coverage.

Best I've Ever Tried
Jess the pug master from Salt Lake City, UT
I have tried about 50 different concealers, and I always come back to this one. There are plenty of shades, so I can match my skin tone in summer and winter. It sticks to blemishes and doesn't rub off when blending/baking. I have also never found a concealer that blends as naturally as this. It's fairly pricey, given the small container, but it's pretty magical stuff.
GREAT!! Maybelline fit me concealer works the same
Jos from Nashville Tennessee
I love this product, but The maybelline fit me concealer is literally exactly the same as this one but way cheaper.
Wrong shade was recommended
Chris from Texas
I think if the shade on outside showed correctly the shade that would be applied I could have gotten a closer match for what I needed.
Deborah from Texas
Unfortunately didn't cover dark spots at all like less than none. Did help with under eyes to have a smoother tone but will not purchase again. Would return but lost receipt
Coverage not that great.

My under eye dark circles were still visible.

I use this as an under eye concealer and also to even out small sections on my face. It is super natural looking.
