Hello - was interested in the IT mini 5pc travel brush set. I'm inquiring on a reply to a question that was posted on ULTA.com by "Happy" about 4 years ago asking if your Mini 5 pc travel brush set is cruelty-free or Vegan. How can you be PETA certified, cruelty free, don't test on animals & yet not be vegan ? There must be some animal something somewhere in order for you not to be vegan and if there is how can you be PETA certified ? Could you please elaborate on why IT is not vegan ?

I love the brushes and the fact that they travel easy. In the past, I would just throw my brushes in my makeup case, toss it into my purse and go - except that sometimes the bristles on the brushes would be all "twisted and bent" when I took them out of my makeup case. With this set, I have no worries about that because they are all neatly encased. The brushes are small - but that's ok because I have small hands and actually prefer shorter "handles" because it allows me to get much closer to where I want to use the brush, and definitely gives me much more control on the placement of my makeup. If you are on the ledge as to whether you should buy this set or not - I recommend that you do!! You won't be sorry. The bristles are soft and the case is small enough to toss into any tiny purse that you have. The brushes clean easily and there is no shedding.

ok, i like the case more than anything.
Several years ago I bought two sets for myself and two sets for family members when it was on sale for holiday gifts. I now mostly use the big brush for blush these days and the soft carrying case (I've successfully machine washed it) for carrying my tweezers and nail implements when I travel. The other brushes are just okay. The fluffy eyeshadow brush is too big and fluffy for my smaller eyes. The angled brush is no where near flat/sharpened enough for me do anything effective with shadow or eyeliner. The handles are also quite short. I realized that I'd rather just bring full length eyeshadow brushes with me when I travel, but if you like a compact kit this could maybe work for you. I've washed these brushes with regular diluted dish soap and they've lasted just fine.
