I think this is one of the best Conair hot roller sets on the market. If, like me, you prefer larger rollers and often don't use the medium and small rollers included in other sets, then this is the hairsetter for you! All the rollers are 1 1/2 inches in diameter so the result is lots of volume and smooth, loose curls. The rollers heat up fast and are gentle enough on my hair to use every day (something I avoid doing with my high-heat curling iron). The set also contains 12 plastic and 12 metal clips which is a huge plus--I use both types depending on where I place the rollers in my hair.
I think that many of the negative reviews here are because people don't understand that this set is not for creating tight curls. In fact, if your hair is shoulder length or shorter, you probably will not get any curls at all; rather, you'll get a large C or S shaped wave (like you would with a blowdryer and a round brush). You also have to let the rollers cool completely and use product in your hair (frizz control serum, gel/mousse, and hairspray) if you want the curls to hold.
My hair is about two inches below my shoulders, very wavy, layered, and tends to curl easily. This set smoothes out my waves and give my hair body and shape. Love it and highly recommend!
I let this warm for 5 minutes. The rollers were pretty hot. Sprayed dry shampoo on roots. Then hair spray the rest. Then started rolling my hair and left the warmer on the whole time. I let them sit in my hair for 40 minutes. Hairspray each curl as I took out the rollers. Finger combed my hair with maybe 5 strokes at best. Ands this is all the curl these gave. Hairspray again. I'm hoping it stays at least like this. Tho I wanted way more curl than I got from these. I got much more from the remington curling wand I just bought.
Maybe my hair is too long. I don't know.

I think this would be great for people with less hair

I almost didn't buy this because someone wrote a review saying that the velvet doesn't work on thick frizzy hair. I'm so glad that I got it because it works wonderfully!!!

There is something wrong with these. These don't produce curls. Didn't come with the pins and looked nothing like photo

Maybe it's just my hair, but I usually don't have issues with heat products. I tried this product three times with different products and each time as soon as I took out the rolls, my hair fell flat. No clue!

I'm so in love with the curls these bring! Super bouncy, big curls. They heat up quick. I only left these in my hair for 15 minutes. The only CON is there was not enough rollers for my hair. I had to do two sessions.

Love these rollers!

I have had SO many different Conair sets over so many decades. My hair is the bane of my existence, so wasn't expecting miracles.
WAS hoping less hot would be less damaging. Expected to give a 5 star review..but cannot.
Dents in hair, very little curl.
This set is so similar to my old set, even the same size rollers, that all I can figure is it just doesn't get hot enough to do the job..¯\_(ツ)_/¯

These hot rollers are flaming hot in your hands. The clips are worthless and fall out. The strange slit on the curlers make my hair look funny after I have removed the rollers. The clips cause crimps. Very unsightly. I've never had my rolled hair stay curled for more than thirty minutes. I have naturally wavy hair. I miss my old Revlon hot rollers. This set is trash!

I use them to curl my hair

I bought these because of the quick heating . However The edges of the rollers get so hot they burn my scalp! I gave put cotton balls to alleviate the pain but then the rollers fall out! They also dry my hair out more than the pink rollers despite using a heat protective product before hand. My hair is a long bob an they do give volume since my hair is fine, but not worth a painful scalp! I give up on Conair and looking for nother brand!

I got this set brand new and as some others have said, it flat out doesn't work. Steamed for 2 seconds when initially turned on but it did not heat up. Had to return.

Purchased because I wanted to give my straight, shoulder length volume. These rollers did that fairly quickly. Left them in for 10 minutes. Sprayed hairspray lightly before removing rollers. Gently removed rollers then another light spray. My hair was not curled...just had more volume.

These hot rollers give my hair just a little volume. I like them, I'm not sure I love them or will keep them. I like that all the rollers are big and that they heat up fast. I'm not sure they give my hair enough volume or that the curl lasts. I've tried them twice.

I recently pulled this set out after ages of not using it after watching a Brad Mondo tutorial on placement. I really thought I needed tho last in clips to hold them steady but if they're placed right, you don't. Take the metal clips out before you heat up the set if you're going to be using them. They're really just a great standby and I'll probably use them more often, as they leave my hair shiny and full after a year of Covid growth, even though it's damaged.

They're wonderful and easy to use!

This product is awful! There is no on and off switch, so when I plugged it up literally sparks came out. The rollers never got hot enough to make a difference and the clips were so bulky and snagged my hair. Big disappointment.

I have long, (3 inches past shoulders), thick, slightly coarse hair. And I am lazy ;-). I wash my hair at night and let It dry while I sleep, so it needs serious smoothing in the morning. I have been using Big Curls sets for years to accomplish this. It does not make my hair curly but smooths it out and adds shiny waves. Styling cream helps to obtain more curl while serum is a must for optimum shine and taming after curling.
The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the curler unit doesn't last a long time. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations, but I feel like hair appliances should last several years. As it is, I average about one set per year.

The rollers are so heavy they press down on scalp making it painful to keep them in not just because of the weight but it causes the heat of the rollers to touch the scalp. I like the comfort of using clips instead of the pins to keep the rollers in place. I returned after one use.

My old set of jumbo rollers died and I saw the name Xtreme Big and wrongly assumed they were the same thing. These are just regular sized and I returned them.

Love love love it

I have long, thick, course, hair that doesn't hold a curl, and no time to do anything with it. These rollers gave me the bounciest, longest lasting curls I've ever had! Its compact and quick & easy to use.

These jumbo rollers are fabulous for adding volume and some curl to my long, naturally straight hair. The J-Clips are what lured me into giving this product a try. They are perfect and do not leave dents in my hair like the plastic clamp-on clips. Unfortunately, the set only came with 11 wire J-clips so I still have to clamp on a plastic one when I use all 12 of the rollers. By the way, Ulta does not carry the J-clips in the local store. I would have given this review 5 stars if Conair would have given me 12 J-clips.

This is one of the worst hair rollers I have ever used.

Good product. Last set used daily for multiple years. This looks equally serviceable. Wish it had an off and off switch, but to be safe, they only turn off by unplugging.
Tealsports from Ohio
Product did not last long, it broke and does not heat up.
