Wash n Go still requires heat
From the title & the flaxseed component, assumed this would be an air-dry friendly product. But the bottle says "not recommended for air dry." Can't see in pix, unsure listed before, but it's in "How To Use" now. Super sticky & glue-like on wavy to curly hair. Very disappointing. I'll keep trying ...

Works great for type 3/4 hair if you do wash and gos
This gel reminds me a lot of Kinky-Curly Curling Custard; there's a bit of a learning curve, and you really have to use the leave-in + gel together as a system to get the best results. Once I followed the directions, it worked really well! I decided to try CurlMix because I love how clean the brand is and that the gel is flaxseed-based. I've been doing wash-and-gos for several years on my type 4B/4C low porosity hair, so I first layered the heavy moisturizer on soaking wet hair working in sections, then after that i go bacj to the first section and emuksified the gel in my hands and glazed the gel over top. My hair is thick and past shoulder-length when stretched. I ended up using about ⅓ of the gel and even less of the moisturizer. I used a hooded dryer for 30 mins and i got touchable curls with medium hold and great definition. Lasted 5 days. I also checked out the tutorials on the CurlMix website. It's very helpful, especially for getting the technique right. Overall, I'm impressed! Clean ingredients + defined curls = win.

My hair is natural and it did nothing to my hair. I tried it for two weeks and my hair turned out harder than before.

I used the heavy hold and it has my hair extremely hard, stiff and dry looking. I will try the light hold and see if I get better results.

Seriously. It is so much cheaper and healthier to just boil your own flaxseed and make your own gel! This stuff has no slip unless you use a leave in conditioner under it (I realized this during application and then I read the directions and saw this has to be used on top of a leave in). This creates white dandruff looking flakes all over the hair that don't dissolve with oil or any other leave in product. I got the heavy hold and it definitely a super light hold. Just plain bad.

Hair Type Very Curly Hair
Curlmix is my favorite product ever. It takes a little practice, because it feels and works different than other products. The company is amazing and has free classes to help. They say give it 30 days. I did and my curls have never been healthier or happier.
