Although I received this product was received as part of an educational promotion, I genuinely think its a really great moisturizer. It feels thick and creamy when you first scoop some from the jar but once you apply it to your face, its not too heavy at all! It soaks right in with a light pleasant scent and gives off an instant subtle glow. It definitely feels very luxurious and I think the quantity and quality of the product you get is very fair in comparison to the price point. I could see this being on the shelves of expensive makeup stores with a twenty dollar mark-up. The matte translucent jar adds to the overall lush experience of the moisturizer and the light blue color of the cap relays the calming feeling of tropical waters. As someone with combination skin, I always worry about looking like a greaseball on one side and the Sahara dessert on another. I live in a dry climate, and am at the age where my skin is changing and has slower turnover. I was interested in the brightening effects of this face cream, as well as the hydrating effects. I typically look for a heavier cream that can be used both day and night. I used this both day and night for a week and I honestly didn't notice.much if a difference. It smells wonderful and is more of a gel-cream texture, which was a little unexpected. There is a strong citrus fragrance which is pleasant- but definitely noticeable. This hydrates well and lasts all day, which I liked. I didn't notice any significant brightening effects after the 7 days, and was a little disappointed in that for a product in thia price range. This would be nice for someone who likes strong citrus fragrance in a face cream, and perhaps combo to oily skin, due to the gel-cream. It want quite occlusive enough to be a hit with my combo-dry skin, but worked "okay" overall. This Tropical C Brightening Vitamin C & Peptide Moisturizer has a gel texture that is so hydrating and cool to the touch. I enjoy PÜR Beauty's creative formulas and their approach to achieve natural-born beauty. Vitamin C is one of my favorite ingredients for brightening skin! This cream contains so many different extracts of tropical fruits plentiful of Vitamin C. Mango, Pineapple, Lychee, Papaya, Grapefruit. This lineup of fruits makes me almost want to eat this! The subtle peach colored tint of the moisturizer blends in with my skin very well, giving it a natural glow/I luminous effect that I love. This moisturizer also helped improve my skin complexion, as I had some dark circles under my eyes from not getting enough sleep lately. I spend alot of time outdoors in the wind and sun so I'm loving the Pür Tropical Brightening Vitamin C and Peptide Moisturizer! This cream is like a tropical getaway for my skin. The vitamin C gives my complexion a gorgeous glow, while the peptides help to plump and smooth out fine lines. The formula is lightweight and non-greasy, making it perfect for everyday use. Plus, the scent is amazing - it's like a tropical paradise in a jar! Also a little goes a long way if you apply too much it does feel greasy ....but not alot is required for amazing results.
