Unfortunately, the brush that comes with this formula made the mascara genuinely difficult to apply, especially when trying to reach my lashes at the inner corners of my eyes. I wasn't able to evenly coat all of my lashes, which hasn't been an issue with any Pacifica mascara I've tried in the past. ...

like the formula, hate the applicator
i was hesitant to try this since there were a lot of poor reviews but it wasnt as bad as i was expecting. I havent tried a ton of mascaras in my day so maybe this isnt the most accurate review, but i thought the formula was pretty good. it went on smoothly and doesnt feel clumpy or wet. i took a nap while wearing it and had barely any fallout. however, it is water *resistant*, not water*proof*. If I rubbed at it with cold water it didnt move, but hot water will make smudge. for me that isnt a dealbreaker though, as I find it easier to wash off than if it was waterproof. the one thing I cant get over with this, though, is the applicator. the weird twisty design is so annoying and makes it a lot harder to put on in general. once you get used to it you can kind of figure out how to actually get it on your eyelashes where you want it, but it's still pretty finicky. overall, i'll continue to ise it personally but it isnt for everyone.

This goes on smooth, light. Doesn't flake or smudge and doesnt irritate. I actually like it better than the Aquarian gaze

On my deepset, hooded, oily lids with long, curly lashes this smudged onto my brow bone. When I was caught in the rain for a short period, it smeared. Please bring back the functional & truly water-resistant Aquarian Gaze mascara, Pacifica!

This one's a dud
I really loved Aquarian Gaze and this seems to be the replacement. The brush is terrible and the formula isn't quite as good. I tossed it after a couple of uses.
