My skin is very pale and cool toned. Cool Ivory has been recommended as light and neutral. However other Clinique "Ivory" tones pull quite warm/yellow. Is the undertone really neutral, like gray?

Ivory, in all of our foundations, is a fair shade with a cool undertone, which indicates that it has more pink than yellow. Different foundation formulas can make the same shade vary sligthly - either lighter or darker. The yellowing you are noticing, with the Ivory you have tried, is most likely an indication that the shade is too deep and you will want to go one step lighter, generally Creamwhip. However, Matte Ivory in the Superpowder is the lightest shade - fair and cool. I have used Clinique for years and normally love the products. I decided to try Clinique's Superpower double face makeup to replace my MAC Studio Fix. The coverage and color work great for me. My only complaint is the amount of product in the compact. I bought this in mid July, and now, two months later, the whole middle of the powder compact is visible. And on top of that, the powder along the edges of the middle crumble each time I use it which is causing more product loss. I only apply my makeup once a day. There is no reason after two months the compact should be even close to running low. Not for the price! I would recommend this product for the lightweight feel and coverage but not for the amount of product/product loss from crumbling. I am undecided at this point if I will buy this again or look at other brands.

I have been using Superpowder Double Face Makeup for at least 5 year and I am way into my sixties. I just recommended it to my 80 friend to wear to her birthday party and she looked and felt wonderful! I saw prior reviews that mentioned it was not good for senior skin. Instead of the sponge that comes with the compact please try a large, wide, fluffy, soft face powder brush and apply it with downward strokes. It is amazing!

After a few days using the Superpowder Double Face makeup compact, it broke in half! It's inconvenient now since I depended on the mirror to apply my makeup. The material on the compact is really cheap and easily breaks even when you gently open and close the makeup compact. It's not worth purchasing this makeup product. This is not the first time I have experience this, Clinique needs to design more durable makeup compacts.

I was really excited to try this product. I love Clinique and have used their line for years. This product was very disappointing. It looked fine when I first applied it, but when I checked my face before going into a restaurant, the color had changed to an orangey color. I tried it again with the same result. Needless to say, it is currently just taking up space in my bathroom cabinet. I'm still sad about it... I had even consulted with a Clinique consultant online prior to purchase to shade match.
I have used this product for years!
Would recommend this product.
