The sonicsmooth expertly trims the hair at the surface and does not affect the root of the hair. In addition the sonicsmooth, is specifically designed for the skin and finer hair on a woman’s face, which is different than that of a man’s. I am wondering if the pre treatment cleanser and post treatment serum are both non comedogenic (does not "clog" pores), and are fragrance free? My face is very sensitive to facial products, and my dermatologist advised me to use only non comedogenic facial products with NO fragrances. Can I use my own special cleanser before using this product and my own hydrating serum after using?

- Official Answer By Michael Todd Beauty - BEHello, good question - the sonicsmooth pre treatment cleanser and post treatment serum are non comedogenic and neither contain fragrances - only essential oils. However, you can use your preferred cleanser as long as it is drying as this is KEY to the most effective treatment. You can also use your own hydrating serum afterwards as well. Hope this helps! I liked the results I got from this device, but it stopped working after less than a year. I highly recommend the Michael Todd Beauty Dermaflash instead. I believe it's more expensive, but worth it. The results are better and it works like a dream.

I recently got this and I'm obsessed! This set works SO well. I love how it comes with a set of a bunch of reusable blades. The setup is so easy. Simply locks in. Leaves your skin so smooth.
