I color process 4-5 times a year and my sister, a 15+ year hair stylist, has been nagging me to get color safe products!! Let me start off with what I like about this serum. I liked the smell. My stylist recommended Pureology, and, while I love the shampoo/conditioners, this serum fell short. My hair is thick and wavy shoulder length and required three pumps to get anywhere near full coverage. However, it makes my hair hard to style and leaves ir feeling dry. Also no reduction in humidity effects. I much prefer Treseme smoothing serum.

Awesome for curly hair!!
I have curly/fine/frizzy hair. And I've used the Shaping Control Gel which I don't think they make anymore, but sounds like this is the updated/similar product and I've ordered it so I will update with any changes. But the gel is sticky as well, so a little can go a long way AND definitely put it in while your hair still really wet and brush it through w/ a wet brush. I still use a detangler & light leave-in conditioner, and with a little oil for the ends of my hair. I live in Colorado, so I find it necessary for the super dry climate. When I go home to visit in Georgia, I don't need as much moisturizing product. So maybe just the detangler and the smoothing serum if I were letting my hair air dry & a little oil if I were blow drying in the South. You have to play with it to find what works for you with any product, so good luck in the perfect product game friends! lol
