The dazzleshadow version of illuminaughty is one of my favorite black eyeshadows, so I hoping this reformulation would be as good. while more pigmented, illuminaughty is more brown with blue/red shimmer. Its cute, but just not like the previous version of illuminaughty. I additionally tried locket and bust, and while these are more casual colors, Im still super disappointed in how sheer and subtle they are. All blend well, but the pigment is definitely dependent on what shades you try.

I tried a MAC metallic eyeshadow in Afterparty, which is a bold magenta pink with the right amount of sparkle. It is highly pigmented, and I didn't need to apply much. I think that it's good for a glamorous evening look. I didn't experience any fallout, so I consider it is safe for contact lens wearers. However, the color faded, especially in the crease, quicker than I expected, and I used primer first. I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes.

This shadow is everything! The color payoff is unreal, it's buttery smooth, and the metallic finish catches light beautifully. I love how buildable it is — one swipe for a soft shimmer, or pack it on for that bold metallic pop. Definitely a MAC staple in my collection
Buy if you love shine
I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes. This is a very pretty purple/magenta metallic hue. The eyeshadow has a lot of pigment to it. It really stands out on top of Mac's Waterweight foundation. There is minimum fallout. I did not find it to be too difficult to remove with a makeup wipe. I think it a perfect shade for the current and upcoming seasons. This color is great for Halloween looks but I think it would also work for holiday or after concert parties. This make up can layer over darker toned eyeshadows or worn on its own.
