i brought it this month only used it once, i feel like a lot of my hair was getting cut in the attachment part and the heat was hot even at the lowest setting.
Shark beats Dyson by a mile!

I feel it's important to preface this by saying that before I got to try the Shark Hot Glam Styler, I was a Dyson hair tool loyalist. I have had the straightening iron, the blow dryer and the hair wrap, mostly with positive results. I was excited to try the Shark because I'd heard rumblings of how it outperformed Dyson at a lower price point, which is always a good thing. I am 43 and have difficult hair. Heavy, thin, with damaged ends and now (thanks to perimenopause) oily roots. It's long and has a bit of a natural wave to it as well, but struggles to hold a curl. All in all, getting it to behave requires a lot of effort. The first thing I tried out was the blow dryer function. It has a smaller and more direct head than the Dyson, but actually works faster than their blow dryer! And much faster than the dryer function of the air wrap! This machine packs a lot of power in a small package! However, on the flip side, it is also significantly louder (I've included a video clip to demonstrate the volume). This isn't the end of the world to me, but it might bother someone else. The volumizing blowout brush was the attachment I had the least success with. It does allow me to evenly dry and straighten my hair, but I can't achieve the big bouncy blowout that others can. Could be my difficult hair, could be technique, but it's large and a bit unwieldy for underwhelming results. The air straightener works super well and I'm very happy with it! Only trouble is using it with my non-dominant hand and having to reach underneath to get the air to flow in the right direction. A bit awkward, but still doable. The curling rods work well and add volume, but aren't able to hold a curl better than any other iron on my unruly hair. That said, I still enjoy the effect of extra volume! The frizz tamer really does smooth down all my flyaways! It's a miracle attachment and the results last all day and much better than any styling product I've ever used! I love that this tool has the option for adjusting the power based on whether your hair is wet or dry! I definitely want to mitigate damage on my fragile ends and it actually makes a difference! My only complaint in the button placement of the power option. It's easy when you're holding the base of the tool to accidentally hit the power button and not realize it, reducing the strength of the airflow. Not ideal and something that could be moved elsewhere in the next iteration. Ultimately, the Shark tool outperforms the Dyson by a mile. I also love how compact it is by comparison, making it a better option for travel! I will be picking this over the Air Wrap any day of the week. I'm super thrilled to own it and strongly recommend it to others.

I have to say I am absolutely appreciative to get the sharp lamb, hot tool, air styling and dry system specially because of all the different hairstyles that I have in my household, it was deeply appreciated. Now I will say that it is pretty and even though you don't really have a number for the heat settings there is a three range heat settings that you can change it from. It does heat up pretty fast and I do love the interchangeable tools that you can apply to it. The only thing I will say is that it does hot so you have to touch the very tip of it to try to get each one off or you will have to sit there and wait for it to cool off but they do get hot. It straighten my hair very nicely and it did take out the frizz and added some glossy to it, which is amazing. It did curl my hair very nicely. My hair does not really curl very easily and it does not stay curled when it does get curled, but it did Help with the frizziness while curling it. My daughters have mixed hair so they were absolutely thrilled to get this product and try it. They were able to straighten their hair beautifully and they have very coarse hair. I can't wait to try on my other daughter who has very curly hair and to see if it can uphold her curls updates to come.
