It's nice, but not quite for me I don't think
I recently gave a shot to the Matrix Styling Setter hair mousse in exchange for an honest review. On the plus side, it had a pleasant scent, and when it came to holding my style, it did a decent job especially in the first few hours. I absolutely fell in love with this mousse. I applied just a tiny bit to experiment and after blowdrying and styling my hair, it looked like I just came out of a salon. I absolutely love the lightweight formula and I would recommend this to everyone!

I have fine hair, but a whole lot of it. Due to the weight of my hair I usually use mousse at my roots prior to blow drying to add volume at my roots. Without it, my hair is flat otherwise. Most of the brands I have tried leave my hair feeling sticky/tacky even after dried. This mousse? Nope! While sticky while my hair is wet, after blow drying and brushing through my hair feels clean! I typically towel dry hair hair, add a gold ball size dollop of mouse to my hand and finger comb it through the roots of my hair, continuing down to above my ears or so. Blow dry with a big round brush, focusing at the roots on the crown of my head. After the crown is done I quickly blow dry the rest with the help of a paddle brush. The volume I get is amazing! I typically use a large barrel curling iron as well to smooth my hair and add loose curls. With the help of the mousse my hair has volume even the next day. I love it! Only thing I am not a fan of is the scent. It smells fake fruity. But the scent doesn't linger, so it is not worth a reduction in rating.

I live in the south, so we are no stranger to humidity. We have had record-setting temps this week and my hair is NOT okay! It starts growing and frizzing within five minutes of walking outside. This mousse really helps keep my curls in check. I scrunch in two generous handfuls when my hair is damp and leg air dry.
