- Official Answer By St. TropezThe product dries in less than a minute, so you can get dressed immediately. We do recommend wearing darker, loose-fitting clothing in the 8 hours before you shower. - Official Answer By St. TropezWe recommend waiting at least the full 8 hours, but you still will have a glow if you rinse after 6 hours. If you want to rinse faster, you can use Express Bronzing Mousse and rinse after 1 hour for a light glow, 2 hours for medium tan and 3-4 hours for a dark tan. So when I get out of the shower, I can see some washing off. Wasn't too worried about it because I left it on for 8 hours. However, the next day I noticed that I was dark on the tops of my arms and on my chest and that was it. No tan on the rest of my body. I made sure to exfoliate and shave 24 hours before hand. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do?

- Official Answer By St. TropezWhen you apply the product, there is a cosmetic bronze guide color that allows you to see where you are applying the product. In the 8 hours, your tan develops underneath that bronzer. In your first shower post application the bronzer washes off to reveal your tan. Exfoliating and hair removal 24 hours prior is perfect. Just make sure you are applying to clean, dry skin. The only areas that should be moisturized prior to application are those tricky areas like hands, elbows, knees, wrists and ankles. I've used this for a couple weeks now and each time I do so, I wait at least 8 hours before I shower. I can see a difference by the end of the day, so I know it works. However, when I get in the shower, I can see is washing off and I am visibly lighter when I get out. (I'm patting my body dry, not brushing it) is it supposed to happen??

Can I shower and exfoliate, moisturize, and then put it on after my shower?

- Official Answer By St. TropezShowering and exfoliating prior to application is fine, but do not moisturize all over. After showering and drying off thoroughly, moisturize those tricky areas like hands, elbows, knees, wrists and ankles. We do have a Body Moisturizer that is great for this, or you can use any lightweight, minimal fragrance moisturizer. Then pump the mousse onto your mitt and using long, sweeping strokes apply starting at your ankles and working your way up. Ensure all areas are covered before lightly applying the excess tan left on your mitt to your hands and feet. If you feel you do not have enough formula remaining on your mitt, just use a small half pump for hands and feet. Was this answer helpful to you

Previous holy grail, now a carrot colored disappointment
I used to SWEAR by this tanner, it was an olive/green undertone so it went on with a much more "natural" appearing color. My most recent bottle purchased in the last few months is straight up ORANGE it is awful and looks terrible. I have light neutral skin tone, the orange is visible and very obvious. Such a disappointment. I used to overlook and just deal with the tackiness after application that seemed to never dry down, and the odd scent, but its not really worth it to me anymore.
SMELLS GOOD, BUT DOESN'T WORK
I'm fair complextioned and I expect a difference. I've always used Coco & Eve, but wanted to try something new. This smells good, it goes on easy and doesn't stay tacky. However, don't use it if you expect a lot of color. Very disappointing.

FORMULA HAS CHANGED
I used this self tanner for years and loved it! It had an olive undertone. But, unfortunately, the formula has changed and it is now very orange. I do not recommend!
