We use a 3% blend that includes Bakuchiol and a retinol-like peptide. This blend promotes skin cell turnover and improves the production of collagen and elastin just like retinol, but without the harsh side effects. hello I've never used any retinol product before and decided about a month and a half ago to pick up a low percentage retinol to see if my skin even jives with it right off the bat. I started with the gentle retinol from good molecules and so far so good, I can't complain of any nasty skin issues. I am not too knowledgeable on how to proceed forward with this retinol routine and would appreciate if an experienced woman could get back to me on if switching to this here product would be beneficial or not? I'm not sure if it is too soon to go up on the dosage of retinol yet? Is this cream considered a high dose? oh also is it safe to go into a tanning bed while using retinol on your face? thank you!!

We recommend using one pump of our Retinol Reface at night, a few nights a week to start, and as the skin becomes more tolerable of retinol, you can increase your use. We also do not recommend going into a tanning bed, as Retinol makes the skin sensitive to UVA and UVB rays.Was this answer helpful to you

Hi! I just bought this product as I would like to incorporate retinol in my night skincare routine. After I cleanse my face I usually use a toner and essence, then a green tea serum boosted with Niacinamide and a moisturiser. When should I apply retinol? Before or after putting on the toner/essence? or along the serums?

Can you please clear up some confusion for me? Answers to the question "what is the percentage of retinol?" below all reference HPR as being included in this product, but the ingredient list doesn't mention HPR at all. Meanwhile, bakuchiol is listed as an ingredient, but isn't mentioned in any of the answers. I know bakuchiol isn't a true retinol, but it is an alternative product with similar results. Where am I overlooking HPR on the ingredient list, and what's the percentage of bakuchiol? Or is the ingredient list here on Ulta's site incorrect?

hello! i use a multiple step day and night skin care routine. i know that retinol is best for night time, however i have a night cream that i finish all my serums, acne treatments, wrinkle recode with. and majority of these products have dimethicone in them to not allow them to fully sink in immediately. however the night cream moisturizer is the most dimethicone filled so should i put that on after this product, or before? maybe skip it all together and just use daytime moisturizers? specifics i use are clinique acne gel, glow recipe pineapple vitamin c, dr brandt hydro biotic recovery sleeping mask. day time is the same products but swap dr brandt out for elemis collagen day moisturizer. thank you!
