I used on both dry and damp hair. I know it says use on dampened hair and it was made for curly hair, however I was very disappointed. a detangler to me should not be sticky and should be able to be used on dry hair as well because the times it is hardest to brush our curly hair is when it is dry. Hair Type Wavy Hair
I have fine, wavy hair. I bought this to help smooth a coarse part of my hair. I did not spray it directly on my hair; instead, I sprayed it into my hands and added a spray of water to prevent it from being too heavy for my fine hair. It was perfect, I loved everything about this, but unfortunately, I got an allergic reaction to it. I had no idea that Mangoes are closely related to Cashews and pistachios; they all belong to the Anacardiaceae family. Just by spraying it in my hands and breathing in the scent from my hair, it caused an allergic reaction, which is unfortunate because I have been searching for something that helps with the coarse part, and this would have been great! So, if you have a tree nut allergy, be aware.

Really good for extremely dry hair but it made my hair too limp b/c of the amount of moisture. Would likely work better on thick, curlier hair (my hair is fine and 3A).

This is no longer a mister bottle. It seems to shoot in a direct stream, and comes out like thick cream instead of the liquid form of the older bottle. I no longer recommend this product since its bottle change. Big difference in performance.
New formula is awful!

NYM is claiming that only the packaging has changed and not the formula - not true! The product used to be liquid and my hair loved it. Now it's so INSANELY thick that it can't even spray out of the bottle correctly and it instantly clogs the sprayer, rendering it useless. It's not the new sprayer, either. I swapped out the sprayer from one of the old pink bottles and got the same result. I've also tried adding water to the bottle and shaking it in the hopes of thinning it out and nothing works. I've been using this for years but I'll be returning what I've just received and will switch to something else. Why did you ruin it?
