Q
I am currently using another product that is not recommended to use in the same routine as pure or ethylated vitamin C. Can you tell me if this would be considered either of those?
Asked by Ajblue
Official Answer By Murad
Yes, Vita-C Glycolic Serum does have some pure ascorbic acid in it. A product with some overlapping benefits that does not include pure or ethylated vitamin C is Rapid Dark Spot Correcting Serum. Was this answer helpful to you

Great brand and product

This is a great Vit C and glycolic acid serum. It does rhe job of smoothing and helping with discoloration. I have to comment on a previous reviewer who falsely stated that this product "does not even have Vit C in it." Well that's because you don't know that ascorbic acid is another name for Vit C....

Meh, not for me

I love Murad products but this did not do it for me :( Very sad. Using it was not the most enjoyable experience. It can also be irritating at times but that goes away pretty quickly. Overall I just did not see much improvement in my skin and nothing special. Not sure if it's just the new formula? Would much rather use their retinol line — every product was awesome.

Disappointed

I switched Vit C serum, thinking this would be even better since it was recommended by an employee. I saw redness disappearing when I first used Vit C, I switched to Murad and my redness is back as bad as it first was when I used nothing.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I wanted to love it, but after the first use, my face was covered in little bumps, red and itchy. I have never had this happen. Must be the Vitamin C. I'm sad it didn't work for me.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Not for Oily Skin

In order for Vitamin C to remain stable, it needs to stay in an airtight container (which this one is, yay) and not exposed to light (this one is exposed to light, not yay). If it's exposed to light or air, it oxidizes and loses its power. This needs to be repackaged. Also, this Vitamic C just makes my skin oily and shiny. Not for me. I don't mind spending good money on a Vitamin C, but it has to be a quailty product, and I don't think this is worth the money.
