I was really excited to try this cream because although I have oily/combo skin, I tend to pick at it, causing dry and flaky patches. This is a nice, heavy nighttime cream that I feel is pretty effective in helping moisturize my face! There is no heavy scent, which is nice because I don't want scented products on my face. It also blends/absorbs into the skin pretty well. My only gripe is that it seemed to flake a little at my hairline, making it look a bit like dandruff, but that can probably be solved by being more precise with your application.

The Philosophy Hope in a Jar Barrier Restore Cream is a fantastic nighttime moisturizer. It's really thick and rich, which makes it perfect for locking in hydration overnight—my skin feels super soft and nourished by morning. I also appreciate that it has no scent, which is great if you're sensitive to fragrance. Because of its heavier texture, it doesn't wear as well under makeup, so I reserve it strictly for nighttime use. I've been using this product for a couple weeks and although it feel nice on my skin I don't see much aid a difference and for that reason I gave it only 4 stars. There isn't much of a scent which I don't mind. I put it on and a little goes a long way. It's very thick which I like. It smoothes out evenly. It didn't leave my skin greasy. I want to keep using it to see if I can get any better results..

I'm not really sure what the purpose of this product is. I expected it to be a mostly moisturizing cream but it wasn't very hydrating and didn't seem to do much else.

I love this cream!!! My skin feels very hydrated because of this amazing cream. It doesn't really have a memorable smell, but it works so well. My skin barrier seems a lot better than with the previous creams I've used recently. A+++!!!
