Best Mineral Sunscreen EVER

This is hands down the best mineral sunscreen I've ever tried, and I've tried them all. For reference, my foundation color is whatever the lightest option is, so I really need a good sunscreen even if I'm going to be out for a short period of time. Here's why I love this one: - It applies easily. I...

Did not like

I took this on a vacation to Florida recently, mainly choosing this because at 3 oz, I could take it on my carry-on. I'd never tried this before, but I wanted a mineral sunscreen with me as I would be in waters with coral reefs and wanted to be as reef-safe as possible. I hated this. It is very thic...

Good zinc sunscreen

Like most zinc sunscreens with no tint this is probably only going to work for pale people. However for me it works great, actually cancels out some redness. I dont like titanium dioxide so i want a sunscreen that only has zinc which is calming. This does kind of set up after a minute and become tricky to spread but that also means it stays in place well and works well under makeup and on top of moisturizer.

Good protection

You'll have a massive amount of white cast like you're a ghost but you also won't be sun burned. Probably best for sun protection. Make sure you apply it 20 minutes before you go into the water or it'll just melt off

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

It's not terrible, but I do not like it remotely, HALF as much as I like the Ulta brand one. I'm new to mineral sunscreens and I bought 2 from Sun Bum and 1 from Ulta. Both of the Sun Bum mineral sunscreens (SPF 30 and 50) are chunky and ridiculously harder to spread on the body. I felt like I was spreading toothpaste, or bondo on my legs and arms. I couldn't imagine trying to put it on my face. The Ulta brand is a sheer delight to put on in comparison. I felt like I COULDN'T rub it in and get past the white cast, and I am so pale I could blend in with a cloud. Any person with any color in their skin would probably have a nightmare with this product. After seeing how hard it was on my legs (30SPF) and arms (50SPF), I didn't DARE use it on my face and I used the Ulta instead. 50SPF was the intended sunscreen for the face, but that wasn't happening with how delicate my face is from acne right now. Yeesh. I'll use the Sun Bums, and my husband will, but I definitely wouldn't repurchase it. Makes me reconsider the entire line from this brand after both tubes were so much chunkier in consistency and THICCER than your girls thighs versus Ulta's.

Sun Bum zinc oxide sunscreen is the best!

I am very grateful that the Emery Street Ulta Beauty sells Sun Bum zinc oxide sun screen. Sun Bum is an excellent company, providing an effective cruelty-free sun screen. Purchasing cruelty-free products is very important to me. I truly hope Ulta Beauty will continue to stock this product because zinc oxide sun screen is the only one that doesn't irritate my eyes and is effective.
