I have fine 2b/3a soft high porosity hair. I love to apply this hair mask for 20-30 minutes after dying my hair as a mini spa treatment. The proteins in this product help to recover hair structure and define my waves/curls. It doesn't help with enhancing the volume though because it has shea butter in it, but the main point here is to lock the moisture in your hair. I love the smell, it's yogurty, with light sweet honey notes. The mask doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. It seems like the manufacturer changed the formula, so now it feels a bit less thick and buttery. This is why I took 1 star off, but it's a matter of personal taste and your hair needs.

For reference, I have fine, dense, low-medium porosity, wavy/curly hair. My hair gets over moisturized really easily. Every source said I shouldn't use protein, so I was really afraid to use this. I became desperate, though, as my hair was turning straight from all the weight from all those moisturizing products. I'm so glad I did!! My hair is so strong and curls better than ever. Even though the product is extremely thick, my hair is still bouncy and lightweight, which was a huge surprise to me. It also smells really nice, like a classic, comforting kind of perfume. I found the try-it size in May, it's August now and I still have plenty of product left (~1/4 of the original amount). I'll definitely purchase the full size whenever it's back in stock!!
Miraculous!
A holy grail! This mask makes my high porosity, 2c-3b, medium length, Caucasian hair so soft and strong! Doesn't weigh my hair down either. I use it as an overnight mask on wash days 2X a month. Results are immediate. Tried many hair masks over the years, high-end and drugstore, but nothing provides fabulous results like this one.
Great for if you Constantly Use Heat on Your Hair
This is one of the only masks i use after i straighten or do blowouts on my hair. A little goes a long way, and i find that it brings my curls back without any damage. Its also good for if your curls arwnt as defined.

I apply this product for about 10 to 15 min before washing and it helps my curls be alive again. It provides just enough protein to tame my over moisturized hair. Another great thing about this cream is the fragrance smells so light and floral.
