Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge Eau de Parfum

I didnt purchase this , i got a sample. I dont get any flower smell out of this. I get alot if spicey notes. Some reviews have said rootbeer. To be honest , i hate it. Its not sweet. It doesnt smell like flowers. It just smells spicey , and maybe a bit like an older lady. To anyone that reads this review , for reference , i like perfumes like : Armani Ocean de gioa Versace Dylan blue Marc jacobs Daisy dream

I told the Ulta guy, "I want something mature but not ancient," and somehow we ended up with this Givenchy perfume! Let me tell you, if this scent was any more sophisticated, it'd be using a monocle and quoting Shakespeare.

I absolutely love this perfume at first, and then the jasmine hits, and it's absolutely repulsive. So sad because it's an amazing perfume otherwise. Unique and longlasting

I received a sample of this and immediately liked it. I wore the sample a few days in a row and did not have any sensitivity or allergic reactions. The scent to me is quite beautiful. I think while it is a bit mature, it is not the proverbial old lady fragrance. On my skin it lasts all day. More than a day on my clothing. L'interdit Rouge was a near immediate favorite for me. I find the original L'interdit incredibly yummy and the Rouge flanker more of a sophisticated floral with the original base lingering. If you are having a difficult time deciding which flanker to get I prefer this one to Tuberose Noire (smoky with a heavy OG DNA) and L'Interdit Intense (spicy, somewhat masculine while retaining the OG DNA). I also think the entire L'interdit line I have sampled are really well done and they all last 8 plus hours for me.

I bought this blind based on a recommendation. I am overjoyed! I love Givenchy fragrance and find them complex and engaging.
