Not what I was looking for
The packaging of this Velvet lipstick is stylish, looks luxurious, the color of the lipstick was nice too - cool dark brown, without an orange undertone (Bread Winn'r shade). Smudges like craaaazy
The color is gorgeous, the finish is very flattering and I like that it doesn't instantly dry you out but instead it smears literally everywhere, never thought I was that much of a mess till trying this out. I'd feel much safer with an old fashioned lipstick which is something I rarely say these days.
Nice shade and pretty packaging but...
1st time buyer of this product. I really wanted to like it but 1. it went on thick. After fixing that 2. It dried out my lips. Kinda of made them look cracked. 3. It broke. So now the applicator doesn't get thinned out before coming out of the tube.

I love it, it wears all day
Perfect ruby red but had to return cause it smudges quickly
I have been searching for the perfect RUBY RED and this had finally met my expectations. However, it smudges and transfers soooooo easily. Even after having it on for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, it still came off entirely. I am surprised at how much it comes off considering how costly it is. After several applications and much contemplation, I decided to return this product as I strongly feel that it is not worth the price of $28-30 considering how much it comes off. Color was perfect, unfortunately I had to go with my best judgement and prioritize price and longevity. On a side note, IF you are looking for that perfect "ruby red," I'd suggest Maybelline's Superstay Matte Ink liquid lipstick in the shade "Exhilorator." It's the perfect ruby red I have been looking for. Very similar if not identical to this Fenty liquid lipstick. And best of all—IT DOESN'T SMUDGE! In fact, it stays on for hooooouuurs.
Works well but smells horrible
I was really impressed with this lipstick when I first started using it—it applied beautifully and looked amazing. However, after just a week, it developed a strong, unpleasant odor, almost like burnt plastic. I later noticed that the same issue occurred with my other Fenty velvet liquid lipsticks. It's really disappointing, especially considering the price. I expected better quality from the brand.
