Silky, like pearls, and oh so smooth!

This shampoo was my introduction to Cécred, besides the welcoming message on the card that was sent along with my order, and a free sample of conditioner I was gifted with alongside the nourishing hair oil and this hydrating shampoo I settled on getting. I finally decided to buy myself the hair care...

not for me?

I have to preface this with the fact that, yes, I understand that this is a hydrating shampoo. Just first use, my 4C hair was soooooooo soft. Its almost like it is fun to wash my hair listening to jazz music. I dont even need hair gel apply after the shampoo and conditioner. Im not going to speake for everyone, especially on social media, when i say this: I do not mind spending my hard earn money on a product that saves my hair from cracking.

Best for Dry Hair/Scalp

This shampoo is super hydrating. Unfortunately, that doesn't work well with my fine, naturally curly hair. Too much moisture weighs my hair down snd that's exactly what happened when using this shampoo. If you have dry hair/scalp or medium-thick hair, this shampoo will probably work well for you. Please note, a little goes a long way. After 3 unsuccessful attempts of use, it was time to return.

I have to preface this with the fact that, yes, I understand that this is a hydrating shampoo. Even still, it was marketed as being suitable for all hair types and like many others, I am drawn to anything Beyoncé does. This shampoo was not for me, though, which is so sad because the scent is absolutely gorgeous. The shampoo leaves a very strange film on my hair, no matter how thoroughly I wash it out. The first time, I thought that maybe this was an interaction between the shampoo and my heat protectant. I tried again and went without the heat protectant but still, no dice. I kept giving it a chance because I really wanted to like this, but it still gives me that strange, oily, heavy film on my hair but somehow leaves my ends incredibly dry.
