- Q
Is this shampoo free of parabens?
- Asked by None
- Official Answer By SebastianNo it is not. Parabens are used in our products as preservative. They prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and mold, protecting both products and consumers. Parabens are highly effective and widely used preservatives that enhance the shelf life and safety of products including all types of cosmetics, as well as foods and drugs. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Why use sodium benzoate as a preservative when the tire industry long ago stopped using sodium benzoate to preserve tires as so many of their workers died from leukemia after exposure to the same? The shampoo is a slew of chemicals but SLS is the least of what bothers me.The other form of sodium benzoate is benzoic acid which is found in soda. Pepsi was sued for it. Just because the corrupt FDA says it is GRAS does not mean it is not harmful. Why not use vitamin E as preservative?
- Asked by Cecille
- Official Answer By SebastianThank you for your question and concern. The purpose why we use Sodium Benzote as it acts as a preservative that prolongs shelf life as it works against mold and yeast which over time products can develop when shelf life expires. • Sodium Benzote is the salt of benzoic acid which are both organic compounds Benzoic Acid is a organic compound that act as a preservative. Benzoic Acid is non toxic and the amount we use is less than 0.001/5mg, but if CONSUMED in high amounts can be poisonous. As to your question regarding Vitamin E. Why not use Vitamin E as a preservative? Vitamin E can’t be mixed in a product that contains water and Vitamin E is not a preservative it acts as a antioxidant which would have no benefit since DRENCH SHAMPOO is a water/aqua base product. As Good As Pureology But Better
I believe I have found the best shampoo + conditioner in the higher end of these products - I can honestly say at least for me it compares to Pureology shampoos and conditioners and is far less the cost of Pureology. I have probably tried every higher end shampoo and conditioner out there and my new...

I loved it THEN hated it
I really wanted to love this shampoo. I first tried it when I stayed at a friends place and didn't bring shampoo with me. She told me to just use the drench shampoo in her shower. I did and I loved it from the start. It smelled amazing, felt fancy and made my hair feel great. I went to work that day...

Must use conditioner with this
I dont know about the reviews on any of these products, but, this product works with the conditioner. You can not use this by itself. It will pull out oils and leave your hair dry. Ive been using rhis product every other day for a couple months now and i like it.
Definitely made my hair thin
Hair Type Straight Hair
I used this for a couple of years and while I loved the way it made my hair feel I noticed my hair looked like it was thinning in the part area and in the temples. It happened slowly so I was thinking it was my hormones or something at first. Then I changed from this shampoo and conditioner to a different one several months ago and my hair is thickening back up and my part and temples are starting to look normal again with new hair growth. It was definitely the shampoo because it is the only thing I changed.
Made my hair fall out
I have never given a 0 to any shampoo/conditioner. Ive tried multiple kinds throughout the years, but this is by far the worst. My hair began breaking and fallingnout in clumps. I only wash my hair twice a week, so it took about a month to actually figure out what was wrong. It was this. I switched shampoos on my beauticians recommendation and my hair stopped breaking and falling out immediately. This shampoo is the single worst thing you can buy for your hair.
Made hair fall out and dry
Hair Type Straight Hair
I used this shampoo and it made my hair start to fall out and dry out the smell is great but I stoped using
Never had such a bad reaction to a shampoo
Hair Type Wavy Hair
I like to treat myself to higher quality shampoo and conditioner but I've also used most "cheap" brands when money was tight. I've *never* had such a bad reaction to a shampoo (and conditioner?). My scalp has been dry, itchy, flaky, and even a little pink and irritated. I didn't believe it at first and tried using another shampoo for a wash and my scalp was much happier using a different shampoo and conditioner (Kristen Ess is my 'ol trusty brand when I'm in a pinch). I just tried using it again for my last wash and my scalp is back to being **angry**. It feels like such a waste to throw away before it's empty but it's honestly terrible.
