My hair is so thin and I am a diabetic, which is really bad for your hair anyway. My hair has broken off in CHUNKS! It looks horrible and is HUMILIATING! I don't even leave my house anymore!😢. I am using the generic form of Rogaine- for women, can I use this also? Or should I just use one or the other? Brittle and breakage...I mean SERIOUS BREAKAGE is my issue plus my hair is extremely fine/thin so it looks even worse and is more noticeable. It broke off behind/above ears, all around crown and some underneath!! Help! Any other ideas? Or advice? I'm all ears! No pun intended ugggh!

- Official Answer By Nioxin - Brand EngageThe Diamax Advanced should only be used before blow drying and styling your hair. The 3-D Root Booster should be used twice daily. And the night density rescue is to be used at night. In the morning I would recommend applying the Root Booster prior to the Diamax. On days that you shampoo in the morning use all of the system kit products prior to applying the Root Booster and Diamax. In the evening apply the Hair Booster followed by the Night density Rescue. If you are shampooing in the evening apply products in the following order: Shampoo, Conditioner, Root Booster, Scalp & Hair Treatment then the Night Density Rescue. Was this answer helpful to you

Hi!! I have processed hair, it's fine more on the sides of my head and breaks easily. I want something that gives me volume and make it grow.I use sulfate free products. I wanted to get the shampoo/conditioner but they're not sulfate free am I right? If so, I was thinking in get the diamax serum and the blue bottle the one that has to be use and night. It is proven to increase the diameter of each hair strand, penetrating and leaving it fuller, more mananageable and strengthened against breakage. I would recommend using this product for a week or two before adding another product to your daily regimine. This way you will know what works prior to spending additional money and not knowing if which product you do or do not like. Once you get a feel for the Diamax feel free to add in the Night Density rescue in the evenings. As you mentioned not using our other products due to them containing sulfates, I just want to add that Nioxin uses high quality sulfates to provide a good cleansing. Used to love this product. I get migraines and caffeine is a trigger. Ingredient change not clearly stated on the new bottle design. My migraines markedly increased after a few days use. Can't return because return date expired. Huge waste of money.

I do not like the smell, but I am also sensitive to perfumes in laundry detergents, so I buy the ones that are "fragrance free". I do not like the instructions at all. Every product Nioxin makes, says to use daily, but there is no instruction for mixing them, or how far to space them apart. Combined with the high price, it is obvious to me that Nioxin's primary concern is to sell as much as they can. Lastly, the ingredients don't look to be anything out of the ordinary. It does have a slight tingling sensation, so I hope it is doing something positive for hair growth, and hair loss prevention.

Very disappointed in this product. Ulta was out of the usual mist type Nioxin thickening spray that I use so thought I would try this one. It was gummy, sticky & weighed my thin hair down. Also, my hair had do much static I had to use hair paste to keep it down & a ton of hairspray. Waste of $$$$!
