My Experience with the Conair Curl Defining Brush
Overall Impression & Performance: I recently tried the Conair Curl Defining Brush, and it generally does what it sets out to do: help define curls and reduce frizz. On my 4A hair, when used on damp, product-prepped hair, it helped create more distinct curl clumps and gave a smoother appearance to m...

Meh... It promises a lot
When the brush arrived, I was very excited to use it: the packaging, stylish and informative; the look: well-made and multifunctional; the brand: classic. As someone with dense, long, curly hair, it's taken the better part of a decade to learn to manage and style it. However, while using the brush,...

I really enjoyed using this brush for my thick 4C hair. The brush does what it says it will. It removes excess water and product and using the sides to define curls is really really simple. I was worried when I felt the bristles but my hair looks healthy and my curls were popping. I got a compliment on my curl pattern after using the brush for a wash and go so I consider it a success. No pulling or tugging, detangling was easy too.
its not that great

My hair has very tight coils and I wasn't sure this brush would work. To my surprise, I was able to brush my hair with it but it did take some effort. The brush is soft and while I could brush my hair, it was still tangled in more parts than I liked. As an African American, our hair comes in many different textures. I do believe it could work on hair that is not as tightly coiled.
Nice definition!

This was my first time using a brush like this for my wash and go style. I love the definition it gave my curls! The only thing is some coarser areas on my head it had some trouble defining without me detangling with a tangle tweezer brush first. Overall I really like it and can't wait to see how my day 3-5 curls hold up! Also can't wait to see when I style with other products. I recommend for type 2 and 3 curls.
It's an okay brush

I tried the curl defining brush and didn't notice any difference in the definition and separation of my curls. As a brush itself it's pretty nice as the bristles were pretty gentle on my hair. I may use it in combination with my wide tooth comb I already use. As a brush itself I would recommend it as it seems gentle on the hair and it's not an enclosed brush that would retain moisture but as a tool to define curls I just didn't see a difference in mine
