I am curious about if color is stripped from the hair due to it containing sulphates as they are known to do that. Any guidance you could offer is appreciated!
- Asked by kt
- Official Answer By Matrix - Brand EngageWe only use sulphates in our rinse-off products. These products can be used without any fear of skin or scalp irritation as the contact with the skin is very short. Sulphates are ingredients synthesized in the laboratory from fatty alcohol and ours come from a vegetable origin. Sulphates are used at an appropriate concentration to ensure the efficiency of our products without any compromise on skin or scalp tolerance. Additionally, we offer products that do not contain any sulfates. Sulphates are ingredients that create the foaming effect of shampoos and shower gels for example and that help rid the skin and hair of soiling. To identify them in our products, look at the ingredients list on packaging. They can be found under names such as SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS), SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE (SLES), AMMONIUM LAURYL SULFATE.Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
Is this gluten free?
- Asked by Allergen Curious
- Official Answer By Biolage - Brand EngageHi there. Thanks for reaching out about Biolage Color Last Shampoo. Most ingredients derived from grain sources are highly refined and retain no traces of gluten proteins. For less refined ingredients from natural sources, Biolage has established strict limits on the level of potentially allergenic proteins. Since individuals exhibit a wide range of sensitivities to these proteins, if you have any questions or concerns you should discuss with your medical care provider. All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. For products too small to accommodate the list, a separate ingredient list is available on the display unit in the store for your convenience. Since some ingredients are known by more than one name, we use the standard industry FDA-recognized names. A review of the ingredients that are listed on all of our products or packages will alert you to the presence of this type of ingredient. Was this answer helpful to you

Have been using this product for years. A very happy customer.
Hate the new formula!
This product USED to be great! When they changed the packaging, they also reformulated it. The old formula had orchid extract and the new one has soybean oil (gross!) and fig extract. These do NOTHING for my hair except make it a greasy mess. Will NOT be purchasing again until they go back until the old formula!!
Yes, I buy this again and again!

Keeps my colored hair soft and my color lasts well!
