To cleanse: Wet the brush side and apply a face cleanser onto the bristles. Using circular motions, rub the brush from the center of your face, outward, and down to your neck. Once you've covered all areas, rinse your face and brush. Use daily.
To exfoliate: Apply an exfoliating scrub over moistened skin and using the silicone side of the brush, massage your face for 30 seconds to allow for deep cleaning. Rinse your face and brush. Use 2-3 times a week.

This is useless, first off, it's manuel, it doesn't spin, I thought at least it was battery operated, no. The brush is so soft, all it does is smear cleanser around, not cleaning the skin.The exfoliating side is fine but not worth anything.

i picked this up at the store to replace an old face cleansing brush that had lost its oomph (and no longer had replacement heads available). WOW! This one is much more gentle and works much better to give me the "deep clean" i like in the evening before i apply my face goop to heal all the environmental damage of the day. What a great brush!
