Most Helpful Positive Review Clinique has the sunscreen game figured out!! I cannot think of any other brand that consistently makes such great sunscreens at such good prices! I think I tried most of them and there is no bad one in the bunch. This is a good sunscreen under makeup for every day use. Just like with any other sunscreen you have to give it a couple of minutes to absorb and set, but once it does it is undetectable and makeup goes well over it. No bells and whistles, just a great basic sunscreen that works!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't work on my skin I think I'm allergic to something in this. Both the City Block SPF25 and this made my face breakout (and I have very dry skin). I was trying the mineral sunscreens due to my dry sensitive skin. Turns out Clinique's broad spectrum SPF50 (all chemical sunscreen) is the one for me.

This sunscreen manages to protect and not irritate my skin which is a miracle! My 60 yr old mother tried it and fell in love with how well it works to! It can leave a faint white hue but I don't mind that...I haven't tried under makeup but I don't think it would be an issue with my powder foundation it could be problematic with liquid I think but haven't tried!
Not for me 5
Judy from Magalia, Ca
This a great product but at 77 years it's (little) to drying for me. For someone that needs a sunscreen for oily skin it's perfect

Too thick 1
Michele AF from New York
I've been hoping to find a sunscreen by Clinique since I use a lot of their products. I found this to be too thick and difficult to spread. It doesn't absorb easily and it leaves a white film on your face. I had to return it.
Pass 2
Jen from Nashville
This product leaves so much of a white cast I only wear it when I'm not going to be seen in public. While I appreciate the skin benefits and fairly smooth application, I would not even rank this in the top 25 of facial SPFs I've tried. Wish I would have started using it before the return period was up. There are so many better options available.
Good cream 5
Maryna from Ukraine
The cream has a light pleasant aroma that will please even the most picky person. Should you buy such a cream? Costs. To stay young and beautiful for a long time. SPF 30 is the most optimal. And a little, and in a strong sun will be on the guard of your skin.
Leaves a white film that rubs off 3
Jade from Colorado
I really wanted to love this sunscreen, but no matter when I use it during my morning regimen (which is just the 3-step clinique system with a serum added), or just during the middle of the day if I'm not wearing makeup, it just leaves a white film on my face (I'm pretty fair and a little freckled). If I try to 'rub it in' it just balls up and then it's worse because I've got little particles stuck to my face. There is no applying makeup after putting this on because it'll just gunk up.
Use daily 5
Shlynn from Mississippi
Love this product because it has a light smell & a little goes a long way. I love the glow I get from this when I put on my makeup. Unlike some face sunscreens, it doesn't burn my eyes. I wear daily down here in Mississippi.
Florida Sun 4
LiaGator from Gainesville, Florida
I love this product, except that I'm begging you to make a larger, cheaper, sport version. I wear it on my face, neck, and ears to train on the trails in hot Florida sun. This tiny bottle doesn't last long enough. I tried my son's non-allergenic high-priced brand for sensitive skin...and broke out. Clinique products are the only ones that I can use. But, for someone who runs almost every day, and goes outside every day of the year, I need a large bottle. Consider your sporty customers! : )

Non greasy. Goes on evenly. Feels good on skin.
Thick But Effective Sunscreen 4
Christy from Virginia
I needed an oil-free sunscreen with zinc that's fragrance free and this product checked the boxes. Very thick formula. Leaves significant white cast and doesn't absorb all that well. Seems more like a thick dewy primer, which is good and not so good. I use matte foundation which helps with the dewiness. I can tell it's working, but needs a lot of mattifying products when wearing under makeup.
Very Creamy 5
Deb from WPB, FL
I trust this creamy sunscreen with keeping my face - and neck - as safe as possible from sun damage. The formula is truly luxurious and its consistency affords full coverage that lasts.
I will not buy this again! 1

I just hope I can return it without much hassle!

Nice facial sunscreen 5
Mk from Tennessee
I really like this for my day-to-day sunscreen because I rarely wear foundation. It's light and doesn't make my face feel oily and works well when doing sporty activities too.
It keeps my skin in good condition every day. 5

Too shiny 3
sbk from Bismarck, ND
It leaves a shine and doesn't have a good tint.
I am switching brands until Clinique brings back
Super City Block which is oil free and tinted ,a wonderful product.
Light, fresh feeling, no residue 5
Tinkerbell from Tampa, FL
Actually the product I just ordered looks just like this picture but is called Broad Spectrum SPF50. Can't find it on this website to write review? Doctor wants me to apply sun screen after stitches removed from face. (4th skin cancer surgery) It did not aggravate the tender area. Felt great (unlike the Mederma I applied and got itching & burning). Will always use this on my face and love the extra protection of SPF50.
Not good for me... maybe because my skin is oily. 3
PAOLA from Ontario CA
The size is perfect to carry in the bag to be able to touch up the sunscreen.
I bought it for being oil-free, and it was not what I expected, maybe because my skin is oily.
I think I need a sunscreen with a lighter feel, I will return to the City Block SPF 25.
Makes me teary eyed 1
Cla from York PA
I had this and even tried it twice however it irritates my eyes and have that "sting" feel. I had 2 tubes with unused sunscreen just sitting in my counter waiting to be tossed. I'm an avid Clinique customer but this one didn't worked out for me.
Terrible 1
Lkwizzy from New York, ny
Bought this for my mom and she said it was so thick and left a white cast all over her face. Extremely disappointed.
Works for sensitive skin 5
EAB from Baltimore, MD
I originally bought this for my daughter to use when swimming. She has very sensitive skin and finding the right sunscreen is always difficult. It worked perfect. I borrowed it recently when I went to France because it was a great size for traveling and small enough to take along while touring, so that I could touch up my sunscreen throughout the day.
